Sadness! I scratched the finish of this beautiful toy.

I have had the pure wand for about a week and love it, along with the fun wand I've been using for years. Today I noticed scratches on both toys after I absentmindedly put them in a metal basket for transport to the bathroom sink for cleaning (tip: don't ever do this!).

The fun wand sustained the most damage, with a small dent/chip on the largest head and scratches on both ends. The pure wand fared better, with just a surface scratch on the larger head. I am crestfallen to see a blemish on this toy so soon.

Does anyone know how to polish these up? I realize the fun wand's ding may be there to stay, but perhaps the cosmetic damage can be fixed. Damn it, I'm so sad!

Oh no! I hope I never damage my Pure Wand or the plug. The surface is so pretty.

You might be able to get a metal or auto shop to polish it smooth again. You would need sanders and polishers that most people wouldn't own.

Hm...thats sad. Doesnt seem like you did enough to warrant that much damage either

I did the same thing to my Pure Plug the first time I used it! The toy itself isn't really damaged, it's all cosmetic, but it makes me sad all the same...

hmmm... that's disappointing... seems like for the price and considering the material and intended use, these should be much more durable and less susceptible to damage.

not that i'd recommend it but i've dropped a glass one in the tub before (meant to set it in the basket i hang from the shower head, but it somehow slipped out inadvertently). it didn't break thank goodness. seems like that same thing would have really messed up the toys you have and i would have assumed they would be more durable than glass, not less

Is it puerly cosmetic, or do you think the scratches and dents will affect the safety of the toy?

I would say contact the company and see what advice they have.

ToyTimeTim is probably your best bet, I'm sure he'll have some kind of suggestion. Or contact the company to see if they have advice on how to safely restore the finish.

It can be done at home, but... it will cost you quite a bit for tools/materials.

This bums me out too. I only had my Pure Wand for a couple weeks when I brought it into bed to play with my man for the 1st time. It rolled off the bed against the wall and onto the floor, and it got a bunch of fine scratches. Sure it doesn't affect the toy but I liked mine flawless. So sad.

Try one of those polishing cloths that they use for sterling silver jewelry I think you can get it at Walmart if that doesn't work try using the steel wool pads for pots and pads the ones with the soap in them lightly use it not to scratch it
