Luxury Toys, What do we think of them?

Contributor: Septimus Septimus
I see a lot of more expensive toys on the internet, and sometimes I just can't figure out who would shell out $200+ for something that is essentially a blinged-out vibe. Maybe this poll can held shed some light on the question.

Would you guys buy a luxury toy?

Yes, but only if the performace were equal to the price

I'm willing to pay more to get more. Some of the higher priced items are better quality items that I would expect to last longer.

I would think about it if they preformed that much better too but typically the don't so not an option.

It's got to have function to back up the price. I spoke to someone once who'd reviewed an expensive solid silver vibrator, and it turned out it was pretty useless as a vibe.

I'll happily save up my points for a pricey toy if the reviews are good. I find that luxury dildos are less of a gamble than luxury vibrators (I love my VixSkin toys!). Less can go wrong when there's no motor.

We buy high end toys and they have always been worth the money.

I think they are worth the money

I almost always buy luxury toys. In my experience, if you buy a $20 vibrator, you get a $20 vibrator that may be made of questionable materials and isn't going to last long. If you buy a luxury toy, there is more thought, design, and power in it, and usually a warranty to boot.

Having started with cheap toys and graduated to luxury toys, I can say luxury toys are the way to go.

Yes, if it was worth the price!

200+ really had better be special, but I consider paying over 100 a luxury expense, and also worthwhile depending on the toy.

I've only got a few "luxury" toys, they're noticeably better, I'd say they're very worth it. The materials, motors and everything else about them is just BETTER, and they last!

Same here. Anything over 100 for me had better work well and be pretty.

Yes, I'm willing to pay a higher price, because I believe in quality, and I usually get what I paid for.

I did buy a couple already, but so far I still need to find one that is worth its price...

Don't know about paying over 200, but have recently spent over 100 on a few and so far am happy with them.

Sometimes the price is worth it. For example, my $140 Eroscillator + $40 fingertip attachment = best sex toy I've ever owned or tried.

I always buy luxury items with the exception of glass dildos. I believe in quality. Plus they are usually rechargeable and have a warranty. That makes up for the extra cost. I don't care what the price is, I'll pay it if I want it badly enough.

There are some luxury vibes I have my eye on because they really seem that much better. I wouldn't get them if they weren't worth the price.

If its performance warranted the high price (rechargeable, waterproof, warranty, high power), then I would most certainly plunk down the cash for a luxury toy.

It really depends. I don't like dealing with batteries, so I look for rechargeables, which almost always means luxury. Also, the luxury ones tend to be of better quality - I'd rather save my points and have a couple good quality toys than a plethora of cheap-but-dubious ones.

my lelo was the first toy i bought. as a beginner it was perfect for me. it's excellent quality and has lasted very long for a vibrator and i never need to give it batteries. honestly i feel like it's paid for itself by now
though i hope i have it for many years to come too!
not to say there aren't some toys that seem expensive for no real reason!!

I probably wouldn't spend that much on a vibrator, the motor will fail eventually, but the Eleven will never fail!

It's about performance, design, and quality materials, not about bling. The Jimmyjane toys with the diamonds are obviously for the more-money-than-brains demographic, but the Jimmyjane Little Steel is worth every penny.

IT has to perform well for me to buy it, but the whole saving on batteries thing is always a plus.
