Looking for a first dildo...

Contributor: viciouschristine viciouschristine
I am in the market for my very first dildo - well, my very first toy, to be exact. I love the look of the glass ones and think they are beautiful, but I'm afraid that I might bruise myself because I've never used one before. Any suggestions? I am not a virgin nor new to masturbation, but I don't want anything that's terribly large.

Thanks!

Try a silicone based one if you are worried about bruising yourself. They are easy to clean, softer in texture and there are some really good brands out there. Lelo do a really good range of them. None are to large and they are kinda pretty as well.

The Lelo Ella seemed to be the favorite when I did my research for a first. I definitely approve of it. Silicone, not too big, g-spot OR traditional end...

Glass really is wonderful, but you're right, probably not great for a first time toy. Do you know what kind of stimulation you like? Maybe you should start with a clit vibe, or something like a basic traditional vibe to find out what kind of stimulation/vibrations you like.

Start simple, because it really is a learning process. I used vibrators for years before I got my first dildo - they weren't designed for clitoral stimulation, but they worked really well. lol Now, I can pretty much tell just by looking if a toy will work for me, but that has taken a lot of time. You'll get there too. Happy hunting!

If you can measure your "intake" then you'll find a better match because toy measurements are on the info page
