For Valentines Day I want to get my wife a large new soft silicone dildo. I've read all the reviews for the Lone Star and Johnny VixSkin dildos - both get 5 stars from most reviewers - so I just can't make up my mind.

I have the Mustang and Vixskin is wonderful. Out of these two I'd choose the Johnny only because it's longer. Maybe it's just the pictures, but the Lone Star seems a little too... squat.

Delicious Surprise - thanks for your suggestion. FYI we have the O2 Revolution. It's OK but just a tad too large for regular use. I'm hoping the 1/8 smaller diameter (that's nearly 1/2 smaller in circumference) will make the Lone Star or Johnny more comfortable.

I have the Lone Star, and I'm pretty happy with it. It's not too short, but because it's kind of squishy, I sometimes wish it were just a tad thicker. I loves me a girthy dildo.

I already have the Johnny and love it, so naturally I'd pick the Lone Star now

We have the O2 Revolution you mentioned too, and I find the VixSkin toy to be more comfortable.

No, I'd keep Johnny because without being able to try the Lone Star I can't say for sure it would work for me, but I *know* Johnny works for me.

The "Other" would be to consider the new Tantus O2 line, which to me feels better than the original O2 Revolution. I have O2 Mikey and enjoy it as much as Johnny but just in a different way (Johnny is a G-spot gentleman). However, Mikey is on the short side, so I suspect O2 Mark would be better.

Here are a few minor things to consider that might help you a little more with your decision if you wind up pondering between the two VixSkins you mentioned and one of the new O2's though:

1. VixSkin has more of a sticky feeling when it's dry than the new O2 does. It's not a residue or anything, but I have heard a couple people say they disliked the feeling in hand.

2. The O2's have no balls, so she won't be able to ride them as easily as the VixSkins (yep, you can prop those VixSkins and ride 'em). Then again, if ballsy toys creep her out that won't be a plus.

3. VixSkin is more "squishable" on the surface than the O2s. To me, the new O2s were a couple of levels squishier than the O2 Revolution was, but still not quite as much as the VixSkin.

Michele - Wow! Thanks for all the info. So far the vote is heavily in favor of Johnny and I'll admit that I like the looks better. My only reservation is that Carry Ann wrote a review claiming the Lone Star as her all time favorite.

I'm kinda hoping she weighs in on the question.

I picked the Lone Star after making the same consideration with Johnny. I chose LS because I wanted a realistic dildo and I already have a lot of g-spot curved toys. It looks a little short but it is such a nice size in every way. I can't wait to see which you decide to go with

No need to spend the extra $30 - my wife can't handle more than about 6.5" to 7" in length and she's rarely in the mood for a full 2" dia. I was looking for something closer to 1.75" - but I can live with 1.875" dia.

I was considering the Johnny VixSkin for quite awhile but have settled on the Maverick instead. However, compared to the Lone Star, I would choose Johnny without a doubt. Aesthetically it is beautiful and the reviews seem more promising. Good luck.
