How important is it to have matching colors for toys?

Contributor: Hallmar82 Hallmar82
I'm planning on buying a whole set of glass toys for my wife's birthday present. I really want to get at least two glass toys to give as a matching set. For glass toys on EF, there are four major color themes: clear, blue, pink, and purple. There are other glass toy colors (green, swirl, etc) but there aren't enough to have a good set.

If you wanted a collection of glass toys, which color set would you like?

I have never cared to match my toys colors or anything like that. As long as it works good I don't care what color it is. Well actually, if it looks like poop then no. I don't think I would get it.

I don't need matching colors for my toys. I buy toys based on how they look/work/reviews about them, not because they are a certain color.

I don't have to have matching toys, but if I did I would go with purple!

I don't know your wife's color preferences - if she has a favorite color and usually picks things in that color whenever it's available then by all means get it. But if she doesn't then mix and match. Who knows which she'll like best. Pink and purple are popular sex toy colors.

My toys are mostly purple. I try to avoid pink but it creeps in (contest wins, last items on a sale, presents). I also have some black and white. I wish I had something green or blue.

I prefer to have my toys match. It's not always possible because I have so many and not everything comes in colors that compliment each other. Plus every now and again I'll like a random blue or something that doesn't go with my pinks.

I started with picking colors that stood out to me, and have come to realize I have a palette going. Bright pink, turquoise, purple, and clear (and pale pinks/purple glass wouldn't clash). I would have some trouble having a kelly green or fire engine red toy, but many other colors (silver, copper, green-blue) would fit in nicely.

You can't go wrong selecting an assortment of glass toys. I'd suggest mixing it up with different colors, shapes and sizes.

However, if you are trying to have a matched set, I'd suggest going with whichever color SHE prefers.

Have fun!

I really don't care if it matches, that get's boring. I love variety and splashes of color and crazy schemes.

If it was all the same color I'd probably get annoyed.

It's your wife though so you would know her better. If you think she prefers a color scheme then go with something close to her favorite color.

i would think the colors shouldn't matter as long as they give her pleasure.

I prefer to *not* have matching colors. If she has a clear favorite color, go with that - otherwise you can't really go wrong.
