Ok I have a question. My wife recently had a hysterectomy she's doing vary well and feeling great but were kind of wondering about sex toys after this deal. We have been using larger toys for about two years long and some are thick. I know, or think the thickness should not hurt her but the long ones may? It's not that important that we use theses toys ever again but we would like to. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on this topic I've google this and haven't found any info. We know the rule of if it hurts don't do it so... But any input will help.
Hysterectomy and toys?

Have you checked the site HysterSisters? It's a Hysterectomy support forum and there's even a section available for husbands to ask questions: Mister HysterSisters.

does she like the bigger toys? if she does, she will ask to use them when she feels she is ready. a hysterectomy should not effect penetration play.

In theory, she should be able to handle them better than ever before. Now that there isn't a cervix to "bottom out" on, she (again, theoretically) should be able to take the toy with ease.
The biggest and most common complaint women have after a hysterectomy is natural lubrication. Be sure to take time to try different lubricants to find what works best for her. (A silicone/water hybrid is probably going to be the best bet.)

I'm sure you'll get some helpful responses if you post your question there, because the respondents will be women who have had a hysterectomy themselves.

I checked with an RN,(my wife). She said the same as Stormy, that there should be more room now. She also said best to ask her doctor. Difference now might be her mood.

Thanks to you two and stormy for the input. she wouldn't ever ask her doc! She turns red reading y'all's post. Lol. They left her ovaries so no major mood changes yet. I may ask the doc my self tho.

I've had a hysterectomy & have only found dryness to be a problem if there isn't enough foreplay w/ a long time partner.

This post was very helpful for me as I may have to have a hysterectomy in the future because of medical reason. Thanks for all the info.

Good observations - but I have to say that my experience with silicone/water hybrid lubes wasn't all that good. My review was relatively positive - but over time I grew disenchanted with the performance.
