I've been looking at the "Gold Laced G" FOREVER now, and I just want to buy it so badly, but. Glass scares me so much. I'm sure it won't break, unless I toss it around like a football on concrete, but. What if it scratches? Can you REALLY see a scratch? Sometimes I don't see scratches in glass of that color, so I'm worried senseless that I won't notice.
Any tips on checking for scratches?
Have you ever gotten a glass toy that was scratched when it arrived?

What I do with my glass toys is this: first, I inspect it visually. If I don't see any problems, I run my hand over it, inch by inch. (If your hands are callused, you might want to, instead, run it over your forearm or the center of your palm.)
I figure that if it's not cutting my hand, it won't cut any other part of me.
That being said, I've never gotten a scratched toy, before. I've had them arrive broken, but
as you can see in Tim's video, pyrex is pretty tough stuff, especially if you store it properly.
