When I was new to sex toys, I was under the impression that more texture = more pleasure, but I'm finding that I prefer my toys to either be smooth or very lightly textured.

I'm curious what everybody else prefers?

Mouahaha, I got a Personal Store here on Eden about textured toys, and I'll say that I got a need for any texture that isn't already in my toy box. Yes, I DO enjoy a smooth toy once in a while, but I'm especially glad that I got a number of cool Fun Factory and Tantus dildos, and I'll even take different toys and consider how the second is going to feel after the other, more or less textured. Ah the possibilities.

It depends entirely on the material. I can take a lot more texture in silicone than I can in glass.

Ultimately, I prefer something that is exceptionally smooth in texture. I like realistic texture, though. I have the Doc Johnson Super Silicone or whatever it's called and I hate that thing with a passion. The ridges are really hard and they aren't rounded like the veins on the Tantus/Vixskin dildos.

My preference tends to be for smooth to limited textures. Too much texture is usually just that...too much, but it is a little material and mood dependent. Good to have some variety.

Variety is really what I like. For some materials I really like glass smooth, glass or stainless steel for example. For something like a large silicone dildo, a bit of texture, kind of like a matte rather than slick finish is better to hold some of the lube.
