Have you dropped your glass dildo?

I would love something I can use in the shower but am nervous that I will drop it? Have you ever dropped yours? How durable are they?

I've never dropped mine, but when I was shopping for my first one, I expressed my hesitation to buy glass for fear it would break, so the lady in the sex shop threw the display model on the floor to demonstrate how durable they are.

Not only have I dropped it, I intentionally knocked it over onto a hardwood surface to see if it would break. There wasn't a scratch to be found.

We've had glass toys for 5+ years - and my wife finally dropped one - hard on our stone flooring. It was our Lucid Heart link and it landed on the thinnest part of the handle - and it did break. But not into a gazillion pieces - one piece of glass chipped off the handle - the rest was 100% OK. We haven't replaced it - but we have many others and she's just more careful now.

I dropped our gold laced g once just about a foot into the sink. It clanged around, almost went down the disposal, but it's totally fine.

I've dropped my Bent Graduate in the sink a few times, as well as a few inches onto the shower floor. It's still doing just fine - no cracks, scratches, or chips of any kind.

If you're like me and you sit or lay down in the tub during shower-play, I wouldn't worry much at all. If you're standing, it might be trickier, so perhaps try something with a good, easy-to-grip handle. But most glass toys are incredibly strong. Just keep up with regular checks for damage and you should be fine.

I dropped a Cyberglass toy into a steel (enamel coated) sink, and it got a crack---not to say the dildo broke, or a chunk came out---it just had a place where it refracted light, so I stopped using it.

Plastic bathtub? Probably not much of a problem. Check DWTim's video for proof of how strong Pyrex can be.

Yes, we have dropped ours several times, it has never broke or cracked. They are pretty strong.

I dropped mine on my computer and it dented my trackpad. The toy however is fine.

Check out Dwtim's video: Pyrex glass, is it safe? Take a look here and find out.

I was really impressed to say the least. I'm sure it would depend on the glass dildo too though.

I hadn't thought of that. I'm so clumsy myself and I just got the Blue Swirl!

I've dropped mne on my flagstone floors and ot even chipped them...they really are very durable. Also Pyrex is made to chunk rather than shard when it breaks so you won't drop it and end up with feet full of glass shards.

I've dropped my clear ribbed G-spot wonder onto a tile floor a couple of times. It didn't break.

Aside from my drop test, mentioned by JessCee, I have dropped a few different glass toys with no problems. I even dropped one on a steel toy before.

A lot of it will depend on how thick the toy is and how it lands. I fit lands flat it will be better off as apposed to it landing on the tip. Also, the surface it lands on will affect the outcome, a fiberglass or plastic tub will be less likely to break it, whereas a steel tub will be much harsher on it.

Now that's a good sales lady! I think it would be fun to work in a sex shop.

Another idea is to get a soft bathmat to put in the bottom of the tub if you're worried.
