The Blue Rider is bigger than the others. The Bumpy Spiral has texture, but it's a modest size so it's not overwhelming, and it has a nice curve to it. The violet wonder looks like a nice choice, too. It has modest texture and two different sized ends. I'd skip the Pink Swirl, probably, because it's a touch bigger than the Bumpy Spiral, has just as much texture, and is too straight for g-spotting.
So, of the four, I'd say the Bumpy Spiral, with the Violet Wonder in second place.

The Violet wonder has a simple texture and two ends that would offer a bit more variety and exploration for a beginner. It also doesn't look too intimidating.

I've been wondering the same thing about some of the glass ones. I really want to buy glass next as well.

Here's the thing with glass: No give. So if you like 1.5-2 inches thick...go for the 1.5 because since there is no give at all it will feel fuller than you are used to. I do small glass wands because they are easier to maneuver while playing.

I voted for the Blue Rider. I don't have the other toys, but I've tried enough glass toys to know that the Blue Rider will feel the best. It looks like its out of stock right now though but its worth waiting for.

The violet wonder is a great beginners toy. It's modest in size and textured - but not too rough. For the price you can't go wrong. I feel compelled to add a note - although my wife likes this one - she often wants one that is larger.

I suggest the Deep Water G. I'm a beginner and it was my first glass toy and I love it.

I picked none because, personally, I think a toy with no texture is the best bet for a first glass toy. Texture on glass is INTENSE.

The blue rider doesn't hve extreme textures though it is fairly large. It's less threatening in my opinion as it is similar looking to other dildos.

I mean to vote for the blue rider b/c I have heard from a lot of glass users what Carrie Ann is saying here, and I think the rider has the least texture.

My first glass is on its way and I picked the Amethyst because the end of it that I'm looking to experiment with is the smooth, curved end that has no added texture and it is very nicely curved.
I've learned that I need a lot of pressure on my g-spot for it to even feel good, which is why I picked glass.

My wife's the same way - but as good as glass is - the Pure Wand link is the premier toy for firm & smooth g-spot stimulation - she call's hers 'The Gusher'.

Just keep in my that with glass it is much harder than other materials, so the textures might be too much for some people.
11/23/2010
If you are a glass virgin, all other things being equal, it would be best to try the Blue Rider. However if you don't want a perfectly smooth ride either way, go with the Pink Swirl.

If this is your first time using glass, start small. Glass is a tough product that can bruise or tear if you're too rough with it. I found that out the hard way. No real harm done, I just had to wear a panty liner for a couple of days to absorb spotting. Anyway, glass is a really fun material if you know how to work with it. Have fun and enjoy.

I just purchased my first glass dildo last week. Well, first glass and stone. I LOVE them both. I've never been much of a dildo girl, but these are both awesome.
I got the Rainbow Mega Nubbly because I prefer texture with my toys. I didn't find any problems with the nubbly texture on the glass for my first time with it. I am just totally blown away with how much I like them. I have the Bumpy Spiral and Violet Wonder on my wishlist. Instead of the Pink Swirl, tho, I have Pink Swirl G and Pink Double G on my wishlist. I was thinking of going with one of the swirly dildos next. It is hard to decide which to get next. lol I'm sure they will all be just as wonderful as my nubbly, all in their own way. Since I like texture, I think the tighter swirls on the G would give me more pleasure, as opposed to the Pink Swirl you have here.
The stone I got was El Olas. It is great as well, and obviously isn't really textured. Just the solidness of that feels great. I guess it is much like the less textured side of the Violet Wonder.
So, I guess it all depends on if you like texture and what kind of texture you prefer. The Violet Wonder does look very fascinating. I think of the options here, I would go for the Violet Wonder first.

Get the glass wand, one end looks scary but the other is definitely not. I cannot speak highly enough about it, it is the only toy I have ever had that can give me squirting g-spot orgasms effortlessly one after the other, for as long as I feel like going. The scary end is super easy to grip too.

They all seem like good choices?
12/22/2010
They all seem like decent choices. However, without a doubt, my favorite glass toy is the Bent Graduate, and that's nice, slim, and beginner-friendly as well as a great g-spot curve.
01/21/2011
I don't really like glass toys, but the first one looks more interesting.
01/21/2011
The first looks pretty nice.
01/22/2011
We got the violet wounder and it is amazing but i would read my review on it before buying

I have never tried glass before and actually do have some questions about it well i know that it is easy to clean you can pretty much put it in the dishwasher can't you (of course not with food dishes)? Do they break easily? and what do you recommend to a glass rookie.

Blue rider all the way.

Blue rider definitely
02/10/2011
I think it depends, are you okay with texture? Is size going to be something to consider, are you used to thicker dildos?
03/02/2011
Blue rider.

violet wonder because beginners drop things.
pyrex wont break nearly as easily, also it has graduated beads.

I like the blue rider and think that would be the best option though the violet womder is a good choice too.
11/26/2011
The first one since it has texture. I have the pink rotator and the icicle rabbit and love the rotator the most! If you like texture, swirls are a dream! I also don't like huge sizes so the rotator and icicles is a great choice, even for someone who's new to glass!

i am kind of afraid to use them as well, but I have been doing tons of research on them. I can say I love the fact that they can be so clean!

I always wonder what people ended up getting after they've created these polls. Thanks for letting us know!!!
03/13/2012
I'm with the majority. I'd get the rider out of the four you listed as a first glass toy. It has less texture. All the texture of the other toys feels awesome, but your first time in glass you'll be focusing on the new hardness of the toy, and should adapt to that first. IMO.
03/13/2012
This is an old post EVERYONE!!!!! They got the Violet wonder.

Blue rider is the plainest and therefore probably the most beginner friendly, but I don't think it'd be the most fun

violet is nice all very good thou

something smooth. i like the pink swirl.

For a beginner, start with something slim and relatively little texture like the Amethyst or the bent graduate. My first glass toy was the Pink Double G, which has two different textures, while being slim and a had an s-curve, which you might want to start with if you know you like texture.

Blue rider definitely, it looks less intimidating than the others for a beginner.
07/23/2012
great answers!
07/23/2012
They all seem like great choices, but I would probably go with Blue Rider.
07/23/2012
The violet wonder would probably be the best for a glass beginner. However, my favorite of the four is the pink swirl. My first glass toy was the Nubby G Wand and she's still one of my faves. Glass feels amazing!
07/23/2012
All could be good but I like the bumpy one
07/24/2012
Blue Rider or Pink Swirl
07/25/2012
Blue Rider if you want something basic, Pink Swirl if you want to jump into glass textures.
07/25/2012
I like texture.
07/25/2012
Blue rider all the way.
07/25/2012
First one I guess...
