Glass is harder and retains temperatures. You can read reviews to learn more about them. Glass can also be sterilized where as the toy materials you listed can't and can hoard bacteria

they feel totally different mostly because glass doesn't have any give to it. one might be able to take a soft toy (anally or vaginally) up to say 5.5" in circumference but only 4.75" of glass. plus if its curved or ridged or has serious texture be prepared to feel all of it (same with steel or ceramic)
(plus of course the hygiene factor)
