I was looking into fantasy dildos with ridges and such and was wondering if the ridges make that much of a difference??

I haven't had the chance to try one; money's been kind of tight and I haven't been able to buy new toys for a while, but I've used some glass toys the Magic Scepter (Sadly discontinued) and the Sapphire Falls, and their composition of being a solid shaft of spheres makes a major difference when compared to something smoother like the Wizard (also discontinued), though the texture on the Jupiter (also, sadly, discontinued) doesn't do a lot for me.
So I think some of it's the ridges/texture, and some of it's just the different headspace you can get into with a fantasy dildo.

An update; I recently had to buy a microphone stand from Amazon, and adding a low-cost tentacle dildo that's very similar to the Mr. Tentacle to my order ro qualift for free shipping was cheaper than not getting it and paying for shipping.
The nubs and helical shape make a huge difference, I have a hard time feeling some of the nubs and ridges on some of my glass toys when I'm playing with my prostate, but I could feel the nubs on this one. That combined with the large size, and I would have played with it for a lot longer the other night if I wasn't already so tired.
It's going to be a regular in my prostate play nights, that's for sure.
