Do you use Jelly dildos?

Contributor: Sweet-n-Playful Sweet-n-Playful
I am interested in buying my first double ended dildo. I was the most attracted to the Jelly ones, until I saw that this material is unsafe to share. This baffles me, since the toy is MEANT to be shared. I am now looking at some silicone ones instead, but I still like the Jelly style ones more.

So, I was just wondering, how may people here use Jelly style dildos with a partner? Did you know it's unsafe? If you did, does that matter to you? Does anyone actually cover both ends with a condom each time?

Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts on this.

Material Questions about Jelly
I've read many reviews on this site for several different jelly products and many of them say that jelly is harmful to your body. Is this true? If it.

I don't use Jelly toys anymore. Since coming to Eden I have found out a lot about jelly toys. I know I had some type of reaction with them. Now I know why. I have not brought another jelly toy since.

I have reactions to Jelly and PVC toys. So, I don't use them. I don't like condoms. In my opinion it's best to get Silicone, so you don't have to worry about condoms. I would at least get TPR. It's better than Jelly.

no, we had a few jelly toys, but they did not work for us. But that was along time ago.

I use to use jelly toys all the time. I never once had a problem with them. Same goes for my favorite rubber dildo. Granted, I don't share them, but I feel like as long as you wash your toys you'll be fine. The exception is anal toys. I never use anything but silicone toys for anal.

Jelly toys are not only unsafe to share but unsafe to USE, from my experience. I've suffered chemical burns from jelly toys and will never use them again.

Nope! I figure if it's something I wouldn't put it in my mouth, I'm not going to put it belowdecks. Strong intrinsic smells or tastes are a bad sign to me, and I don't trust jelly.

These days I never use jelly. I like the feel, but TPR feels similar and is safer. I would like silicone, but it's not always easy to find silicone toys that are plush and squishy or a lot of times they're way too big for me.

Never. Not only are they unhygenic, they can leech dangerous chemicals. I have never used a jelly toy, but one of my ex's did and got a UTI from it. I stick to silicone and TPR.

Wow. That sound awful. Can anyone enlighten me as to how one gets a chemical burn from jelly toys?

No, jelly isn't very safe and it wears out fast. It's much more worth it to get a silicone dildo. You can save up point for it.

I haven't used a double ended dildo or even shared a toy, but I did have a rabbit vibe made out of jelly that eventually became discolored and started to break down. I had to retire it before the motor wore out. I would even avoid TPR.
