Diameter or circumference?

both

I like having both. While they are connected mathematically, I find it easier to immediately visualize a diameter, but the circumference has a higher "resolution" (for every diameter "tick" you have 3.14 circumference "ticks"), and since it's measuring exactly how far your chosen orifice will have to stretch it's really more accurate, since most toys don't have a circular cross section

The larger the toy the more concerned with circumfrence. In smaller toys the diameter is sufficent.

I can picture diameter best.

Me too. That is the crucial value for me.

I don't pay attention, but I don't use dildos really

Diameter. In fact, when I measure for reviews, I measure and convert. If I read circumference and have no other info, I need to convert it, which is annoying. Even if a toy isn't perfectly round, diameter is still more useful to me the way I visually it. I assume the diameter isn't necessarily the perfect numerical value but the measurement of width at the widest point.

Diameter is easier for me since I come from metric system.

Diameter, I can't always visualize it by circumference alone.

Diameter (provided the measurement around is circular; if it's 'oval-y,' circumference is definitely the way to go).

Wow, interesting. I always preferred circumference. It's much easier for me to picture.

I'll make sure to include diameter in my future reviews now.

I like both measurements. Diameter is helpful initially to help visualize a toy's girth but when I get serious enough to make a purchase I appreciate the more accurate measurement the circumference provides.

circumference is hard to visualize unless for some reason i have tape measure on hand. i'm a really visual person and it's just confusing when i see something's girth ever described as 5 inches

I pay more attention to diameter, but it can be misleading.

I prefer diameter - otherwise I have to count, lol.
I think it is best if both are there. *nod nod*

It's easier for me to picture something being 1.4 inches ACROSS (diameter) than imagining it would be 4.4 inches if it were flattened (circumference).

Diameter is easier for me to visualize, since it's straight across.
