I voted "Sometimes" although it's more like rarely. There were a couple toys I had purchased before I read into safe toy materials. I had a favorite toy for awile that was made out of jelly which I started using a condom when I used it due to the dangerous material.

Nope. Basically I figure if the toy isn't safe enough with out a condom, I'm not going to buy it.

I used to, to make cleaning easier, but now I rarely do.

I agree with Lucky21. If I'm dishing out money it isn't going to be on condoms for a toy. I'm just as happy to pay the extra for safe materials to begin with. I do have one that I have used condoms on but it's back shelfed because of the hassel and I don't have any real need for condoms in my life so it'll stay in it's packaging.

I only did when I had a few Sil-A-Gel toys. They smell awful and I didn't want the smell on me. Since I got rid of my Sil-A-Gel and other suspect material toys, I do not use condoms on my toys. The only other person to touch my toys is My Man, and we are fluid bonded, so I don't need to use condoms. Plus, I'm allergic to latex and polyisproine condoms are really really expensive, and we don't use them for birth control, so I quit buying any condoms a while ago.

I only buy toys in safe materials, now. I do have a small stash of polyisproine condoms for testing toys with suspect materials, but even I won't test Sil-A-Gel or jelly toys, not even for "Science."

Only when I know I will not have enough time to clean them after. For the few toys I have that can't be sanitized I only use them and do not share with the wife, so there is little concern.

Depends. Sometimes I will when I don't want to spend forever cleaning it, and sometimes it it's a ribbed/studded condom, that can feel pretty sweet, too.

We do on occasion just for extra cleanup, mostly during anal play. It's one thing if a little bit of poop shows up and all we have to do is remove it from the butt and wash it, but it's different if we have to also wiggle it out of a harness. The condoms also cut down a lot on the possibility of any scents being left behind and make it easier for us to just toss a dildo back into storage instead of waiting for it to air out for a few days.

No. If I have to use condoms on the material of the toy, I do not buy it.

This is not an issue for me because all my toys are non porous and I don't share them.

I'll only waste a condom on it for anal. Non-latex condoms are sacred items to me,I'd rather only use them on a REAL penis.

Depends on the toy and which orifice it's going to please

I don't share, and all my toys are non-porous. Hence no need for condom.

I only use condoms with anal insertions and if I'm sharing my toys with other people.

I used to, to aid in clean up afterwards - but not anymore. It's just too much work! Plus, I keep my purchases at the upper end of the safety spectrum, so that helps too. The only person I'd share with is my man, so there are no worries there either.

To clarify, if anything that I put in my vagina gets put in my ass, I put a toy on it when using it anally to avoid cooties. Even if it's a toy I can sanitize.

Sometimes I do, it depends on the material of the toy

I fear I'm a naughty person & have a couple of jelly toys I like. I'll replace them eventually, but for now they just get a condom & all is well.

However, I just got a DP toy & the anal shaft is a goofy size. Duo-Dong (I normally don't buy stuff with bleh reviews, but most of the DP toys have tiny anal shafts, so figured I'd give it a try & get a review out of it anyway...)

So, I'm wondering how to handle strangely sized shafts. I think finger-cots are too small. I've seen talk about using gloves, but not sure that would work. If you cut off a finger of the glove you'd need a rubber band or something to keep it in place & cutting off a finger would probably make it tear easily anyway. So... do you stick a whole glove on & have spare fingers flapping?

Anyone have experience with Toy Covers or similar as far as size? Would these work on an oddly sized shaft? (They seem awfully expensive, though.) What about smaller-sized condoms?

I imagine the toy is going to just get shoved in the back of the goodie cupboard & replaced with a dedicated anal toy. The DP toys just don't seem too hot in general, but just thought I'd ask about oddly sized... protrusions for future reference.

Thanks!

Only if I have a yeast infection or I plan on using the toy for anal to vaginal. I use the condom for anal and then take it off for vaginal.
