I recently purchase a vixskin dildo, and I was unclear about what condoms it was ok to use with it. I'd heard it wasn't ok to use silicone lube with a vixskin, but I'm having difficulty finding any condoms that aren't pre-lubricated with a silicone based lubricant. Would it be ok to use these as the lube is generally on the outside of the condom and won't come into contact with the vixskin?

Myself, since I love my VixSkin so much, I wouldn't take the chance of ruining it with a silicone-lubricated condom. If you really can't find one without lube (I was usually able to at a drugstore, if not at a gas station), you could try using these unlubricated toy covers instead. With pretty much most VixSkin toys (except Spur and maybe Raquel) I would go with the standard size instead of the small size.
But, VixSkin can be sterilized, so even if you can't find a non-lubricated condom, and you don't want to wait for a toy cover, you can always just use it and then bleach it clean.

My problem is that I can't actually find out the ingredients or what kind of lubricant condoms used, I've emailed several companies and had no reply. The main condoms available to me over here (UK) are durex and pasante, does anyone know if any of their condoms are silicone free?

I don't want to use it without a condom as I will be using it mostly for anal. And I don't like the look of those toy covers with the writing and pink flowers!

I was looking for condoms without a silicone based lube recently as well. I contacted ~LaUr3n~ because she reviews condoms a lot. If you check her reviews, she includes the lubricant type. Hopefully you can find one that is available to you. As a general rule, condoms use water based lube unless it indicates something like "premium" or other adjective to make it stand out.

Yeah, I used the toy covers once - no flowers or writing, but they are pink and purple rather than white like most condoms. Kind of wish they were a different color.

Then again, there are always Trojan's non-lubricated condoms.

One of the main features of pure silicone toys like made by companies like Vixen and Tantus is that they can be completely sterilized and are totally nonporous, so you don't even need to worry about using them anally without a condom.

Yeah, VixSkin is condom optional... but I usually don't have much trouble finding unlubricated condoms at the drugstore when they're called for. I use Trojans but most of the major brands have unlubed options. If they are scarce in your area, perhaps try buying them in bulk online?
Also, just in case anyone was wondering whether or not silicone lube will react with a silicone toy through a condom... yes, yes it will. Don't try it. Bad results.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure silicone lube can not go through a latex condom. If your silicone toy was damaged inside, it's possible that the condom was also lubricated on the inside with a silicone lube.
