Can you use glass dildos in a harness?

Contributor: PropertyOfPotter PropertyOfPotter
I'm pretty new to this type of thing and my husband and I prefer glass to anything. We want to try a harness, but would prefer to use a glass dildo rather than a 'realistic' type. Also, what would you suggest would be the best one to get for anal play for him? He's also new to this so it would need to be something thinner and shorter than most of the glass I've seen.

Thanks so much

Which Is Your Favorite Luxotiq Glass Toy
I was wondering which of the following you would most appreciate receiving as a gift? Throw in a reason if you feel like it. Thanks

Glass toys are so lovley and easy to warm up. Can smaller ones be used for anal or would you stay away from glass?

Xhale Glass Not On Eden
Found a few nice pieces that are not listed here on Eden. I'm not sure why, as there are certainly more expensive glass dildos here. The first series.

These types of sex toys are unique and visually appealing, and they look like works of art. Well... and I want to give a glass dildo a try. Do you...

There are some glass dildos that will fit in some harnesses but I think they're harder to work with in that case. They may not be the easiest for you to use as a beginner and I personally don't recommend glass for starting out with pegging, and even for beginners to anal play. It's rigid and completely unyielding and a rectum has more of a curve to it than the vaginal canal. What I would recommend however, is silicone. There are several that are harness compatible and not realistic (no veins, no defined penile head). These couple are all on the smaller end, bodysafe, and pretty unrealistic shapes.

They're heavy and stiff, and when used in a harness for pegging you're much more likely to have an errant thrust that hurts than you are if you're using a soft toy material.

There are many non-realistic silicone dildos out there that work great for pegging.

Thanks so much! I've used glass inside my husband before, just haven't used it with a strap on (so I'm sure he could handle it). I'll look into those links, thanks so much!

Yeah, glass toys with a harness just sounds like a bad idea...One wrong poke could ruin the night.

very valid point!

I just know that we prefer glass toys, but I guess we'd be much smarter to go with something different when it comes to this! Thanks!

This would be my concern too. We have to be careful as it is with my husband using them on me, so I can't imagine using them in a harness.
