VixSkin is much more squishy than I thought it would be, which I ended up absolutely loving. Only problem is I went with what I felt to be a reasonable size for myself; the Mustang with a 5 inch circumference. I failed to consider how a toy can feel smaller or larger depending on how much give it has.

I still absolutely love it, but it doesn't provide the full feeling I sometimes like, and it's smaller than my partner. I was debating on the Maverick but went with Mustang instead because I figured it's better to have a little smaller than too big. I will now be getting the Maverick as well!

Anyone else ever have this happen with the VixSkin toys?

Nah, not an issue for me. My own plumbing is on the small side to begin with and I prefer small-to-average toys anyway, so the only VixSkin dildo with the potential for this to happen would be the Spur - whether or not it's not enough really depends on my mood that day. My other two VixSkins, the Tex and the Mustang, are usually perfect, but there's times (usually when I haven't toyed in a while) when they're a bit too much.

I'm in the same exact boat as you! I have an O2 Adam, and the Mustang's measurements are pretty similar but I didn't realize how much more give the Mustang would have. I really like the VixSkin material, though. It makes me confident that I'll also like the Maverick when I want that full feeling (and this way I get to have one tyedye and one neon green!).

Me too! I have the Mustang in green, and plan to get the Maverick in the tie-bright. I also have an O2 but it's the Flurry. I can't wait to get the maverick!

I haven't had this happen, but like tequilafish, I've also noted how interesting it is that one of one of my O2 toys is just about the same as my Mustang, size wise, but the O2 toy feels huge to me most days, whereas the Mustang is almost always just about right.

You diagnosed your own problem - it's about how large it feels vs. actual size.

I have said in all my reviews and forum posts that you can choose a larger Vixskin toys because of the give - or softness of the product.

You also need to look carefully at where the size is. For example - both the Maverick and Outlaw max out at 2" diameter. But because the Maverick is tapered - it doesn't feel as large as the Outlaw. To be fair the Outlaw is also more firm because of it's length.

Don't let this keep you from enjoying these great products - just buy smart and read the reviews.
