With the crazy thursday sale, I've been eyeing some of the pretty pretty glass dildos. I'm in the market for a penetrative toy and/or a g-spotting toy, but I'm a newbie to dildos so I have no idea which to choose!
Oh, and I've never been, uh, penetrated before (is there a less awkward way to word that?? sorry), if that helps.
I've narrowed it down to these few, but if you have other suggestions please send them my way!

Which glass dildo would you recommend to a beginner?

Of the choices below, which would you recommend to a dildo (actually, penetrative toy in general) beginner?

I'd go with the Bent Graduate/Amethyst (these are essentially the same toy, just in different colors and by different companies). My first glass toy was the Bent, and it's wonderful. It's very versatile and you can pick what you want out of it: straight or curved, smooth or textured. That G-spot curve is hard to beat!

I second what Rin says. I love my Amethyst. It's very easy to insert.

The Bent Graduate and Amethyst seem like good beginner ones.

I had looked at that one too, but the texture made me a bit worried. but I also have ones with nubs on my "possibly" list, so maybe the lace-y texture would actually be more comfortable?

I have enough eden points for both the gold laced g and the amethyst/bent graduate... hmm.
and thank you everyone who's responded so far! your input is very, very helpful!

For "other" I'd suggest the Pink Double G, which is excellent if you want to try texture. I found that the curves where both good for g spot stimulation and fit my anatomy well, and it was my first glass toy.

I would go with the amethyst

Amethyst/Bent Graduate are essentially the same and great for G-spot I just reviewed the bent g today.

hope it helps!

The bent graduate and the amethyst are pretty much exactly the same toy, just different brands
06/28/2012
The bent os pretty versatile, I think it'd make a great beginner.
06/28/2012
Bent graduate/amethyst! They're smaller and would probably be less painful for someone that hasn't been penetrated. We don't want to get anything too thick since that could hurt you. I'd suggest those!

I actually have a curved G wand and love it. It was a wonderful beginner toy, not to much curve, but not just plain.

Thanks for the responses and voting everyone! I got the amethyst in blue (changed my mind on the green) AND the gold-laced g! I'll leave the poll open since if I like these as much as I think I will, I'll be in the market for more glass toys, and someone else may find it helpful, too!
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

...nevermind, my cart seems to be in limbo and won't actually place the order after confirmation. I've tried about 10 times and the order won't go through.
so I guess if anyone else has input, I still have time to change my order!

Bent graduate looks like the amethyst either would be good for figuring out what you like or just get which one you thinks the prettyist .

the bgood is a velvet-y plastic. is there a better material you'd recommend?
06/28/2012
Don Wands looks nice

Out of those, I'd say the Amethyst or Bent Graduate are your best bets. As for the Gold Laced G, I have that as well and really like it. I can't tolerate much texture at all, especially on glass - I just find it uncomfortable. But the Gold Laced G's texture is fine for me. I hate nubs the most, but can tolerate some slight swirls and the light Gold texture.
As for a first toy, I'm not sure if glass is best or not. It probably depends on the person. My first butt plug was glass, and it was GREAT! So I don't think glass is so bad for a first toy. It's cool (which feels soothing), it's smooth (glides easily with even the slightest moisture), is totally hygienic and safe... I don't think it's such a terrible material for a first toy.
Don't go crazy with the thrusting (which I'm assuming you wouldn't do anyway, since you're new to penetration) and use lubricant (just to make it as comfy as possible for you) and I really think you'll be fine with glass.
The Amethyst & Bent G are both nice and small - and so is the Gold Lace. I don't think it's such a bad material for a first toy. Let us know how you like them, once you've tried them!

Plastic is really firm. I would recommend looking at something that is not like silicone or UR3. I am a bit of a size queen so I don't want to recommend something specific.

I placed the order after all but if it's a massive fail, I'm just out of some eden points.

Personally, I'm a silicone fan, but everybody — every body — is different, so you may have the most wonderful time ever with glass. I would just say be very patient with your body, and go slowly no matter how excited you are.

Enjoy your new toys!
06/28/2012
I would start out with the Bent Graduate or the Amethyst.
06/28/2012
Lovely choices - personally I think that the Pink Allure would be a good first toy (it's not too big, has different textures, and has a slight curve). It was my first glass toy and my first textured toy - I love it. I'm not sure if it's in stock though. Sorry if it's not
06/28/2012
I definitely say the ruby G because it has no texture and if this is your first time with penetration less is more.
06/28/2012
Bent graduate! go slow and enjoy.

I love the feel of my silicone-coated vibes (bcurious and picobong kiki) but since their base layers are plastic, I don't know how stiff pure silicone is. I am planning on eventually getting ella (or picobong moka) and harmonia so if I do find the glass too much I can just box them for a few months until I'm ready too.

The Bent Graduate is easy to handle. It offers you a smooth glide during insertion with a good size vor a beginner. Good Luck and Welcome to the club. lol

I think the Gold Laced G is a good choice. I have it, and the texture is very subtle and comfortable. It is also slender, so it should be fine for first time penetration.

If you're looking for softer but also safe, Vixen makes a slender dildo called the Spur in their Vixskin silicone. It is softer on the outside with a firmer core for better realism. Here's the link to the product page: link

That said, I think using a glass toy is a really bad idea for a beginner to penetrative stimulation. Glass is fucking hard, and many people who've had tons of experience with penetration have some trouble with it, especially at first. May I recommend silicone toys? They're also sterilizable and body safe, but much softer and so, so much more friendly to beginners. May I suggest the Ella?
07/08/2012
Ella is an amazing toy. It was my first nice (non jelly) toy, and it's been years and I still love it!

Go for the Bent Graduate, the Amethyst, or the Gold laced G.
07/22/2012
Amethyst would be a good choice. The bent shape will help you find some "special" spots.
07/22/2012
Ruby G looks most beginner friendly to me
07/22/2012
The bent graduate, I think.
07/23/2012
I think the bent graduate looks a little intimidating for a beginner. I would start with something more simple for a first time glass dildo. That's they advice I had to get too because I'm new to glass dildos myself.
07/23/2012
They all look wonderful. You should look at each toy carefully and read the reviews to see which one is going to be best for you personally.
12/03/2012
Honey.
12/04/2012
Honey. I have the Midnight Twist which is very very similar, I think color being the only difference, and I love it. It was my second ever glass.
12/04/2012
Bent graduate (Clear / Pink)
12/04/2012
Honey Wand or the Blossom. Or something without nubs.
12/04/2012
The first one.
12/05/2012
I prefer the Bent. Nice a stiff and good for G-Spot stimulation
