Why is this Smooth Shaft Prized Perennial regularly priced at $99.99, on sale for $69.99 and this Perennnial Royal regularly priced at $149.99, on sale for 89.99? I can't detect any difference between the two. Any ideas? Same size, same brand. No reviews on either toy. I'm baffled.
Are they different?

looks like a slight color difference is all.

Looks like the Royal might have a more curved shaft.

Just a guess but the catalog id on the Smooth shaft prized perennial is SM-9-1R and the Perennnial Royal is SM-9-1.25R. I would say the Smooth shaft is the 1" diameter while the Royal is the 1 1/4" diameter. This would explain the price difference. Since the product description is identical I am guessing they just used the description for both. (Did you notice the Royal description starts off with " The smooth shaft prized Perennial is")
