I haven't worn an anal plug to work, but I have worn my plug around the house for extended periods of time and it can be done without much trouble. I would imagine a full day of work would be a little trickier, but I have heard of it happening.

HAven't worn them to work, but I have worn plugs out for walks and other excursions for several hours. The base becomes very important - if it rubs against your buttocks or legs it starts to chafe sometimes, especially if you're sitting down (had that problem with the Luxotiq Plug).
It's fun, though - if things get too turned on you just think about other things or excuse yourself to remove it (I strongly recommend you bring a plastic bag along just in case).
