Quite a few people have noticed the similarities between Metal Worx products and some of our favorite Njoy toys. I have a silicone toy that bears striking resemblance to the toy. Check out Fun Factory's Bloomy and tell me what you think.

Companies are allowed to reproduce a design if they change one or two things, I think. I don't really mind, if the company is trying to improve an existing design.

Honestly, it bugs me. If I were the original producer and saw the knockoffs, I'd probably be ticked.

Bloomy and the Double Trouble look different enough to me because of the difference in texture, but the similarity between the Fun Wand and the Metal Worx Curve seems too close to me.

The only difference between the Fun Wand and the Curve seems to be the extra bead on the end. I'd like to be able to hold them up next to each other to see, but I'm not shelling out $70-some dollars to do it.

I don't really mind a steel reproduction of a Silicone toy, though, because the difference in material is enough of a difference for me, honestly I prefer steel myself.

I'll see if I can get you a photo when I'm at work sometime soon. We carry both the Fun Wand and the Curve!

Awesome, thank you! Can you tell me, though, are the metal worx as low-quality as the consensus seems to say?

I noticed it right off the bat - it's a cheaper quality product. I'll stick with Njoy

It's the nature of the market. People will try to reproduce something that has been successful. It makes the type of product more accesible to the general public, and the discerning consumer can still go for the high end.

Copycat design and sub par materials is a lose/lose as far as I'm concerned...

I think its not really an issue. If the company is that pissed they can always file a suit against the other company. Otherwise i like both shapes and each has enough difference to keep me interested in both.

Plus Njoy products use 316 steel that resists tarnishing after use... does anyone know what MetalWorx uses?
