Preferred butt plug base type for extended wear

Contributor: SemiNube SemiNube
So, I've seen a lot of posts about preferred materials or sizes for butt plus, but I can't really find anything about the bases. Just so I'm clear, by base, I mean the part that stays out and keeps it from slipping all the way in. I've seen many different kinds of bases out there, but idk anything about how they affect the experience.

The most common ones I've seen are the circular ones, the rings (usually on metal ones), and the ones that look almost like the circular ones, but have two of the edges cut down so they are more rectangular.

Anyone with experience with the different bases have an opinion on this, Are there some that are better for short term use, but not long term use? Or vice versa?

Dear SemiNube,
not all butt plug bases are designed to have a proper function besides safety - many of them are shaped or decorated in a certain way for the sole purpose of being an eye candy - and that's wonderful.

However, there are certainly butt plugs bases that actually have a functional use. Toys like Spade here, for example, or this Vibroplug if you fancy vibration, have a T-shaped base with slightly raised nodules. Not only they hold up more securely, but they also provide thorough perineum stimulation, which contributes to orgasmic experiences a lot.

Also, the T-shaped plugs are indeed the ones best fitted for extended wear - they snuggle comfortably between the butt cheeks, providing you with some additional spur and staying discreet and comfortable during casual sitting or walking.

Bulky bases, like circular ones, or featuring rings, are super comfortable just for the extent of your session - after some time they might make you feel sore.

Hope this helps.
Best of luck!

My favorite are the T-shaped base plugs, they're the best and I agree with GingerAnn...best for extended wear.
