How to get rid of that Nasty Jelly Smell?

I don't like the safety rating of jelly, the smell, the clean up, the feeling of them, if I could rate jelly I would give it a 0 out of 10.

I totally agree. Jelly is bad enough for other toys but I can't even conceive of why you'd be putting low-quality materials in contact with your anus. If you can't sterilize it, what's it doing in your ass?

I don't like the feel of Jelly, especially when it starts to sweat. They would be a nightmare to clean and just seems to be high maintenance. Don't even get me started on how body safe they are.

My wife was having bad reactions, so we learned our lesson. We stay away from jelly, rubber and all other porous products.

There are much better options available.

Actually we never used any jelly toys anally - but my wife did have a bad reaction to them vaginally. For a while I used a condom to prevent the reaction - then it just got to be too big of a hassle.

I disposed of all my jelly type toys and when I did use them, I put a condom on the toy or plug. Jelly is so unsafe and besides, it falls apart!

We've gotten rid of most all of our jelly toys, but yeah I really don't like them. I think the market is there because they are cheap and not a lot of people outside of sites like this really know the differences in terms of quality and safety. But jelly is definitely not my preference for anything.

On paper, jelly anal toys sound great: very forgiving and flexible. In practice, they're hard to insert and all kinds of dirt and hair stick to them like crazy.

I hate anything made out of jelly. When I was younger I bought it cause it was cheap, and now I've educated myself and know better than to even think about getting anything made out of jelly. Especially anal toys!

I hate that they're unsafe. I do like the feel of them, and of course that they're really accessible. I really wish that there were silicone versions of some awesome jelly toys. It's a shame when a great design is ruined by awful materials

I'll be the lone ranger here. I had a jelly anal probe as my first anal toy. I didn't realize jelly couldn't be properly sterilized at the time. I did get a lot of use out of that toy, and it was a really nice beginners toy for me.

I've never had any problems with any materials, jelly or otherwise. I get confused why some people become so snobby about it. You can always use condoms with them.

I don't mind them either way, but I prefer other textures to jelly.

The trouble with that is that the shapes of some anal toys (beads, for example) don't really work all that well with a condom.

Besides (though I know I can't speak for everyone), unless I was sharing, I'd rather not have to use a condom. It's just one more expense that wouldn't be needed using a better material.

Won't use anything below a 7 on the safety scale and only silicone, steel or glass for anal. Due to sanitary purposes as well as the smell, possible irritants, etc. with jelly.
