What's the status of the review program?

I submitted an assignment back in September 2014, for a product which has since become discontinued, and it still hasn't been posted. I was really looking forward to reviewing again, but I haven't heard back about the status.

A lot of people seem to be frustrated with the state of things, so I pose the question: is the review program dead/abandoned? Is it worth trying to get back into or should I just continue buying and leave the community aspect out of the equation? If it's a lack of editors, I would love to take up the role, but I couldn't get accepted for the program even when I was much more active. Any comments/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am a part of the review program. As I understand it, there is an active DR review program. There was an application process to join that program and it is now closed. The review program changes over the years.

I'm not sure of your question. It appears two fold.

You requested an assignment ? and or you submitted a review and it has not yet been published ?

As I know it EF doesn't do the assignment route anymore. It has been replaced by the DR program. Certain reviewers are assigned Eden brand items to review. They are chosen by activity.

The buy out program is sill in existence last time I used it a few months ago.

If you did previously turned in a review to be publish, send in a support ticket about it.

If you submitted and review and it's not live, it's because it's awaiting editing. The list is long and it's taking much longer than the time frame we used to quote folks.

I assume it is abandoned, I am a Product Review Blogger who was suppose to get a corset two years ago to review, it never arrived and the emails are bouncing back.

There are definitely still reviews being edited and posted if that is what you are questioning. Selecting a product to receive for free in return for doing a review is no long active, even the the section process is still there they are not being checked or handed out. The only free products now are if you are selected to do a Detailed Review.

I was wondering about this myself. It would have been nice for them to make a statement about it that was clear. At least as a company. If the original program is dead, it would also be nice for them to remove that part of the site. What a clusterfuck for some of us oldies that just got shuffled to the back burner.

The original Review Program is being restructured as of this moment. You're correct everyone, it's been put on the back burner for a while, but it's being actively worked on right now and it should start back up within a couple of weeks.

I'll release a statement with the details later, but for now I'll just let you know that the program is going to be very similar to the original one, except we'll be giving preference to Eden Toys, Aphrodisia, and Erokay lines.

I'm checking the review requests from time to time just to get a feel for what people are hungry for and I've even been approving requests for the above mentioned lines. So, if you're interested, please feel free to browse and put your requests in.

I, for one, would love to see the review program brought back! EF was my favorite site for reviewing toys and when everything went black without much of an explanation as to what happened, if anything would be fixed and when it would happen, it definitely rubbed many of us the wrong way.

Once it's brought back, I'd love to get back into the program though!

The Review Program is up and running!

We're plowing through the backlog at the moment and will slowly publish all of the reviews, but new reviews get published within a day or two.

We're fully staffed and are anxious to see more people get into reviewing!
