How do you go about your review writing?

Contributor: Lioncub Lioncub
How do you go about your review writing? For me I often have several started and saved in Word. I start when I get the item and take notes after each use while everything is fresh in my mind. When I get the time to finalize the review I will then copy and paste it and submit it. With school sometimes I may not have time to finalize for a few months so could have several to submit, the exception to this being the free assignments I had. The last time I had time to work on them I submitted 4 within a few hours and got a not so nice message that there was no way I could write that many reviews in such a short time.

Do others submit like this or do you just do one review at a time?

I do this as well. I will write everything but the summary for items that have been discontinued...then write the summary and publish.

For offsite reviews, I tend to write several up and then publish them over time, with the onsite portion saved as a draft until the review goes live. I usually have several in draft state at any one time.

I wait until I feel the urge to sit down and write. Then I will write as long as I am still feeling it, or as long as time allows me. I have several started and waiting to be finished.

So far, I've done everything through the Eden extended template. I write them there, and save them there (I have yet to sit down and write a review all the way through). I haven't worked on more than 2 reviews at a time.

I think it would be good to start being more systematic about it. I like the idea of taking notes right away, and adding to them as we use the items. The only thing I've started doing along those lines is to take pictures of the items in their packages (since we usually recycle the packages immediately) and "fresh" out of the packages.

I have almost the exact same system you do. I keep a few saved and work on them little by little.
I go through periods where I'm inspired and do a ton of writing, then I'll go through a few weeks without writing at all. And I usually submit a few reviews around the same time.

Same here, I often work on multiple reviews at a time. In fact, I have to give myself some time between writing and proofreading so I can see it with fresh eyes.
