I submitted a request to participate in the proofreading program on April 1st, and have not gotten a reply back yet. It says responses can take up to 72 hours but it's obviously been quite a bit longer. Should I submit a support ticket or keep waiting?

You should not hear back from them until the 1st of July. That is when the new rotation starts. Good luck!

The latter. That text needs to be updated. Editors are chosen on a quarterly basis now (I believe) and the last round of editors got chosen not that long ago so they won't be chosen again for another three months (again, I believe). That being said, I have gone through the voting process twice myself and not been accepted so just as a head's-up, don't expect to be chosen in the upcoming round (though you very well might be and you won't know until it happens). There are TONS of applicants, many of whom have been here for a long time and have applied before, so newer people, such as myself, can likely expect to wait a while. It's nothing against us, just an occasion where there are too many wonderful applicants and not enough spots.

Where did you read the 72 hours part? We'll need to update that.
Thanks!

"In order to maintain our high quality Review Program, we have to review each contributor individually for inclusion in the Proofreading Program. Once you submit your application, it may take up 72 hours to be considered and processed. You may submit only one request at a time. If your request is declined, you may re-apply in future."
This reminded me that I need to resubmit a request to become an editor so I'm going to do that now.

The FAQ Kindred linked to has the most recent information on the program. And if you have any questions in the future, you can contact Sammi at sammi@edenfantasys.com . She manages the program and will happily answer your questions.
