Question about a review?

Contributor: SexyySarah SexyySarah
So, I posted a review last night and usually my reviews post right away if it's something I already had and I'm just writing a review on. Well it's been 24 hours and it's still not up, nor does it show up on my profile page. Is this normal, cause I've written 6 already and it hasn't happened with any of those. Oh, it's not one that I requested either, I was just writing a review on something I already own.

Some times the the reviews all come in at once and it can take some time. I had one that took like four days. The next review I did was published about an hour after I submitted it.

In the review guidelines it says it can take up to three weeks, but never heard of it taking so long.

Certain types of products (mostly condoms, but some others) do not have a "category" in our admin system and, because of this, do not auto publish. The review editorial team has to approve them and assign them a category just like assigned reviews. Unfortunately, they're also not the highest priority for the review team so they sometimes take a few days.

Rule of thumb is that if it takes more than three weeks, you should email Gary.

Rarely do reviews take three weeks anymore - though years ago, they took that and longer, some times - but they absolutely can take more than 24 hours.

Just as a quick fyi, a search for "review not published" brought up quite a few other threads with this same topic, same answer. My suggestion is to try a search before starting a thread. You'll often find a lot of folks have had the same question.
