Optional Sections Glitch?

Contributor: ~LaUr3n~ ~LaUr3n~
Some of my students reported to me during class that the persona section of the extended format was actually lighting up red and requiring input. I have written probably a dozen or more reviews since this first started happening, but I had never had it happen to me until today.

I had not put anything in the personal comments section and before I even tried submitting the review, it started showing up red saying it was required while it says it is optional. I had to put something these when I didn't need or want to.

Has anyone else had this or anything similar happen?

I actually had this happen yesterday, but it was for the packaging section. I had a draft of a review that i had saved and was finishing it up, and decided to deleted the packaging section, but it kept telling me it was required, although it clearly states it's optional. It went away after I ignored it then edited and saved another portion of the review.

I submitted a review yesterday and have not experienced this problem. Thanks for the heads up though.

Yeah what jesibel said is what usually causes it. I've had it a few times. Once you put text in and save that section, it makes it mandatory. Little bit of an issue but just have to be mindful of it.

This bug has been there since they first introduced the extended review formats. I emailed someone about it way back then. I feel so ignored now. It only happens if you save content in an optional section then try to remove everything from that section.
