I’m of course talking about items that you received from EF through the Eden Point program, through purchases, or things you happened to already own. Nothing that was for an assignment…
Do you feel obligated to review all items you own that are on EF?

I wouldn't say I feel obligated, but I plan to review almost all the items I own. I keep getting new things so I'm behind. Lately I've been making a point to review things I've had for a few months, instead of just my assignments and the new shiny things. There are a couple items I probably won't do, since there are tons of reviews on them and I don't feel like I would add anything useful. Maybe once I've reviewed everything else I own I will end up doing them too though.

It really depends. I will often review things I have for EF depending on whether or not I can add something useful. If there's already a bunch of reviews on an item I have, I won't bother. It also depends a lot on how much extra time I have. If I've got a lot of reviews I'm working on for my personal site, I won't bother doing "extra" reviews for Eden, or I may just save them up for a rainy day.

I try to review pretty much everything, but I don't really feel obligated to. I'm pretty much caught up on assignments, but I'm way behind on other things I wanted to review, and will be buying a whole bunch more. I figure the longer it takes me to get around to reviewing something I'm using, the better the review will end up being.

I do not feel obligated, but I do think it is a good way to reciprocate the generosity that Edenfantasys shows to its contributors. I may not review everything that I receive from Edenfantasys, but sometimes I get 10 or more products in a month, and that is a LOT to review.
I always review things that I really like because I want the reviews to pop up in the recent list. That way they will get more exposure and I may introduce others to a product that they will absolutely love. I also try to review things that don't work out so well, I want to warn people of the possible problems they may have in order to provide them the the information they need to make their purchase. I review products in the middle, but I don't have that many of them, I thoroughly read reviews and pay close attention to specs when I buy so I have a pretty good idea of what to expect. All in all I would say that I review about 90% of what I purchase from Ef, and Ef is currently the only place I buy from.

I think that we all should review the products, unless there are alot of reviews that would be similar to your own experiences. Some products I have tried and my experience is far from others.

Obligated? No.
When time permits I write reviews on items I own. Because I like Eden's program best out of the companies I review for, I do link the reviews to Eden or just write them here. I earn the most affiliate money here and am a loyal shopper so I figure they deserve it out of everyone. But in no way do I feel obligated, they are *my* products and I can review them for whoever I choose.

As much as I like writing reviews, I kind of rejoice in not having to write a review for something. Most of the things I buy outside of assignments are stuff that's been popular forever (i.e. tried and true classics), and already has a bazillion reviews.

I don't feel obligated unless someone asks me if I own something, if I have not reviewed then I feel I need to asap for them. I review 95% of the things I get from eden. I have dozens that still don't have reviews though. I don't feel a need to review them as soon as I get them unless they are an assignment.

I have two of my own sites, I also review as part of a team for two gaming sites as well as for Eden.
I think that if I ever run out of assigned things to review, then yes I probably would. Right now I'm crazy behind on reviews so I don't know if that will ever happen!

How is not sharing things from you're personal life selfish? That the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
Let's not forget that we're all quite fortunate to participate in a community that discusses personal things at all. Plus we can do so without fear of embarrassment, because here we enjoy anonymity. Doing so is a huge privilege, but never a responsibility.

Cool. It seems like a lot of people on EF review for other sites too. If you don't mind me asking, who do you review for? I'm still a babe in the woods in reviewing, but I'm trying to expand to off-site reviewing. I want to make sure I actually do this whole blogging thing right...

I try to review everything I buy with points, but some stuff I do not, such as toys I have little experience with or toys that I just don't want to review. I do not feel that you should feel obligated to do so, but it is always nice when someone does so.

As for reviewing, if I bought it from EF, I attempt, to the best of my ability, to review it on EF. I honestly, out of the over-300 products I've bought from EF, have not reviewed only about 30 of them.

I want to write a review on everything but I also don't feel pressure to do them all immediately. All in good time!

I like to review the products I buy but during the cold grey months I battle fairly severe SADD so they tend to pile up and I cut my work load back to only assigned products. When the spring comes I perk up and tend to be rather prolific reviewing everything I have bought previously!

1. I do think that if you have something that's on EF, you should review it!
2. Nothing personal, but "not reviewing a product you own that's on EF is just dumb." Unless you don't have enough time. Then it's perfectly understandable.
3. Why wouldn't you review something you own on EF?
4. There's a lot of perks little boosts to your rating and getting points!
5. I always review something I get from EF.
6. I love reviewing and trying out everything I can. Why wouldn't I review?

I am definitely behind on my reviews.

I voted:
I'm actually behind on reviews.
I don't think it's necessary
I have enough trouble getting my reviews for assignments done!!
I busy with My Master's degree and being my father primary caregiver and I already waste more time then I should online. So I don't feel much obligation to write reviews I'm not obligated to. I do try to reviews those products however.

I don't feel obligated at all. I just don't have the time to review everything.
02/01/2011
If I have it, I review it. Somehow it makes me feel more productive than most of the other things I spend my time on. My only regret is that EF doesn't carry a lot of the stuff I have, so I can't review it.
02/01/2011
Assignments aside, I will review about 90% of them, just do not always have time to do them right away. Plus, some of them I feel I need to do lots of testing first, like the Eleven. I could have wrote that review after the fist use, but I wanted to get more time with it to provide more info for the review. I do have a few that I will probably not review.
02/01/2011
I usually do because I would hope if there was sometihing I wanted to know about someone would tell me. ^^
02/01/2011
Off site blog comes first. You pay with everything by time or money, and since I buy most of my EF products, I don't feel obligated to review them.
02/01/2011
Nope. I do not feel obligated to review toys I paid for. However, if it is a toy I feel strongly one way or the other I am sure I would review it. It is the so-so toy reviews I have so much trouble writing.
02/02/2011
We don't feel obligated to review things that we purchased, but if there aren't many reviews on the item then we do try to make time to write one just to be helpful.
