Buy-out for heavily review products

Contributor: Owl Identified Owl Identified
Can I do a buy-out for something like the Njoy Pure Wand, or is there a limit to how many verified reviews can be on a product before buy-outs are not allowed?

Thanks for your help, everyone

You can do a buy out on anything on the site.

Ah, awesome, thanks! I think I'm going to get the Pure Wand and do a video review for it so I can at least add something new to the dozens of rave reviews on it already, hah.

I like that idea. There are so many basic reviews and so many of them are raves that few stand out.

The only restriction with a buy out is that you can't do a buy out on the same product twice.

I also think the Pure Wand is one of those things that's good to see in action before you buy it. I know that the pictures on Carrie Ann's blog (the one where she has it in her hand) helped give me a much better idea of what it looked like and how it might function. I figure a video could only add another dimension.

I love the buyout option. It allows you to step outside of price restrictions too. Always an awesome thing.

Yeah, I actually compared the fun wand and pure wand in my fun wand video but one that shows the pure wand alone is a good idea, especially if you give hints on how to use and insert it, etc. For sure!

I'd always thought everything was up for a buy out review, so I'm glad to hear that's the case. I had been wondering what the buy out option in the product search showed you, so if I've understood Victoria correctly it just takes off the list any products which have already been bought out for review?

No, no, she just means that one person can't do the same product for review more than once. More than one person can do a buyout review on the same product. ^_^

Ah ok, then what is the purpose of having it in the product search? Just as a way to easily find products on the site?

I think, and this is just a guess, that the buyout list excludes products that are new and not yet available for purchase. Buyouts can be done on any regular product for sale on the site, so I guess the buyout list just excludes products that haven't been put up for sale or maybe haven't had a description review yet if they need one.

Yes, if you do a buyout you have 3 weeks to get your review up and on the site. It's really a good deal, although I've only done one buyout thus far.
