I was just wanting to make sure I have this right before I do my next review. I was reading the FTC guidelines and noticed that it said as of Dec 1st 09 when we write up our reviews that we have to include that this product was provided by EF free of charge for an unbiased review. Do I have that right?
just a question about the FTC guidelines

Where will your review be placed? Those guidelines do not apply to onsite reviews at all. I mean, technically they do but there is already a disclaimer on all reviews.

Eden Fantasys includes the disclaimer on all reviews that appear on the website (if it's needed, according to FTC guidelines).

In addition, if you do an off-site review on a toy you received from Eden for free or at a discount and you post the corresponding widget to your blog review, the disclaimer needed shows up automatically in the widget.
So really, any review you do for Eden Fantasys on a free product, you don't have to worry about it because we've done all the work for ya (just be sure to use that widget on the offsite reviews).

Should we also post the disclaimer/statement on blog posts linking to reviews and/or on blog posts with pictures (but not the actual review text)? This might be one of those "just do it" / "better safe than sorry" situations.

Ok, Thanks you guys.

I was wondering that too. Although, if the review isn't on the blog, I don't know if we have to when linking to it since the linked review contains the disclaimer. This would be good to know.

I just put it all out there from the get go, no matter if it's verified, a free toy, a paid for toy, whatever.
Everyone knows we get the stuff free. Best to just say a pleasant thank you and be up front, imo.
Plus, then my ass is covered regardless.
