We’re so excited to learn more about Buck Angel! Today begins not only his Community Interview, but also his SexIs column launch! Check out ‘More bang for your Buck’ biweekly, over at SexIs Magazine!

Buck is known (self proclaimed) as “The man with a pussy” – and we’re sure he has stories to share about how people react to him being so upfront. He started as a model, then got into adult films, learned a lot along the way, started his own company, launched several websites, a blog, a YouTube channel and began traveling extensively to meet with fans and colleagues. Now, Buck is world famous as the most well known female-to-male porn star, but he’s more than that – he is an activist, a speaker and educator, and now, a documentary film maker. What kinds of questions do people ask him? What do they seem to expect from him? How does he handle the assumptions about gender? I bet you’re wondering too!

So go ahead and ask –the questions are endless!

I have to say I am so glad Mr. Angel decided to do this interview. He is so very well spoken and such a great rolemodel! I am happy to see he is passionate about educating people about safer sex practices...while I might feel that condoms in porn movies shouldn't be a legal issue it IS a social one. I am so proud of the actors and actresses that stand up and refuse to work without protection. You wouldn't want to see a construction worker without a hard hat and I don't want to see a porn star without a raincoat!

It's also nice that he's willing to answer the more personal questions. We live in an area where it is expected that you don't ask and don't tell. Interviews like this help me to educate my children with truth rather than stereotype. As a pagan and polyamorist that is very important to me. I want my kids to see people as people first...not as labels. It also helps me to feel more comfortable should I have a situation (and I'm sure I will) where my kids choose a lifestyle that is different than my own, or discover a sexual preference that is different than my own. I want to be able to support them 100% and be able to "speak the same language" or at least be willing to learn.

Anyhow, thank you Buck Angel for an amazing interview!

I have to admit, I've never seen any of his work. When I mentioned he was the community interview my sweetie recognized his name as a famous trans-man. =) I knew he looked familiar, lol!

“We had a poll a few months ago about condom usage in porn flicks. What are your views about the role of porn stars when it comes to teaching safer sex practices? Personally, I feel it should be up to the individual what risks they are willing to take but I'm curious what an actual performer feels about the subject.”

2nd prize goes to Sex, Lies & Pre-Law for asking:
“Hey Buck! I'm a big fan of yours; it's great to have positive representation of trans men in porn that begins to venture outside of fetishing porn that views trans porn stars are fetishes in and of themselves. I have a lot of questions, but I'll ask just one for now.

I've seen a lot of reviews that you've done with various television personalities in countries all over the place, and I've seen a lot of interviewers and writers misgender you or refer to your body/genitals in pretty awkward and offensive ways. My question is: what motivates you to continue to do interviews, with the knowledge that many people are going to ask bizarre questions and say offensive things. Is it more to do with promotion of your work, or more to do with visibility of trans men, both, or something else altogether?

Hi everyone,

I am in Helsinki now and happy that I was able to finish the interview during my crazy long 24 hour trip here. I had to take 4 planes..uggg!!

It was an honor to be part of your community here and do an interview. I loved all the questions. It was not easy for me to pick winners let me tell you.

Hope I can participate more here in the future. I am now doing a column so I hope that people enjoy reading it.
