Gary, Sammi, Carrie Ann and all of the rest of the admins are amazing and extremely well-liked and very good at what they do. I don't personally have all of the details but I do know that their absence is no reflection of this.

So what's going to happen in the meantime?

I have temporarily joined the rank and file again to help you all transition over to a new community staff. I will answer any questions you have regarding programs and upcoming changes.

Weekly events will still be happening as will things like Flash Your Stash. I need to meet with Fred to discuss things like slideshows and videos but I'm pretty sure those are still going to be a large part of the site.

It's scary as hell, right? There is a master plan and things will be back on track soon enough. What I need from you all right now is to hang tight and dig in your heels. It might get a little bumpy, but it would really be a great testament of respect to Gary and Carrie Ann and Sammi if you continue to be awesome contributors and stick it out with us. That is truly what they worked so hard to build and it would be a shame to see it all go down the drain.

It's great to see you back! I'm a bit lost, so forgive me when I ask:

-Why is everyone leaving?

-Know anything about the new folks coming in? Are the new peeps already part of Eden and are just coming into this part of Eden?

-Any rough time frame on things? Weeks or months?

I've been seen worse shake ups than this with other major companies in my day and things always level out in the end. This is why I'm so calm about everything but I realized yesterday that you all were going to have a very difficult time with this transition and I offered to help.

We're not going to be doing the whole dog and pony show for the time being but I will try to keep as much normalcy happening for you all as I can. less

Reading between the lines a little, it seems that many of the functions which have previously been done by paid staff will now be done by volunteers, i.e., Eden contributors? Is that correct, Stormy? less
