I want more smileys!!! Even moreee!!

Strange looking at thread the first time, but the conversation part makes sense. And yeah for the better search options.

Can the Announcement section be sortable? I don't even see the most recent announcements on it. I just see months and years old announcements because they have recent posts. This thread doesn't show up there, even.

I agree. I'm not a fan of animated smilies. They're usually more distracting than helpful.

I looove the sticky threads (hey! where's my Birthday Club?) and the poll timer! Best additions EVER!
And is it formatt-ically possible to have the text wrap for shrinking window size? Pretty please? With a cherry?

So far it looks awesome. I will have to check out the search and what not later.

Can you make it where smileys are only allowed in threads and not reviews hahahah.
Also I love the new forum features. The set up is very nice.

Hello Everyone!
By now I am sure that most of you have noticed at least a few of the new forum changes. I just wanted to go over the list with you and give you a brief explanation to help avoid any confusion.
Name: The Forum's name has been changed from 'Sex Forum' to 'Community Forum' it's a small change, but I think the community has grown into so much more than a sex forum.
Alerts: There are now going to be advanced features to allow you to set more alerts, including club reminders. Unfortunately, there is a bit of a problem with alerts at the moment. Please be patient, this will be fixed as soon as possible.
Advanced Search: We have added a number of advanced search options that will hopefully helping you in finding specific threads you are looking for, and also scanning to find general threads on topics you may be looking for. You are now able to search by date, contributor name, type of thread (poll, post, comparative discussion, all), and also specify the search to look for keyword in title or post.
New Discussion Style: This feature might seem a little weird at first, but consider how active and live discussions are now a major part of all community activity. The new style presents your posts and comments in the style of a conversation. If you post a comment, your avatar will show up on the left side as it always has; but now, if you post a response, your avatar appears on the right side to illustrate the back and forth flow of a conversation.
Smileys: New Smileys - its pretty obvious what these are. Let me tell you, finding useable smiley's for the forum was like a 'Da Vinci Code' type quest. I know a few of them, like the ones with weapons might seem a little out of place, but we had no reason to remove them. I hope you have some fun with them. We are looking into your early suggestion of being able to 'turn off' the motion.
Sticky Threads: We have added a space to include 'Sticky Threads' under Upcoming Events, Announcements & Featured Threads. This will allow us to better share or highlight important threads with the community.
Poll Timer: You will now have the option to have your polls close at a specific designated time now. As there are many time sensitive surveys, awards, and contests, this should prove to be a very useful tool. less

Awesome stuff!

These two are my favorite. Obviously, in spite of this being an "adult" site, we're all a bunch of kids because the cartoons excited us most!

Very cool. As much as I hate to admit it, I love smileys. But I promise not to go crazy with them or anything.

Interesting changes. Cute smilies. Some of them are quite bizarre. ------>

Thanks for informing us of the updates.

I definitely love the changes coming thus far!
Are there going to be any changes that make the forums and subforums easier to navigate?
I'm not sure if anyone else has issues, but sometimes I get a little over-whelmed looking at all of the different sub-forums within the forums. Though, I have no idea how to make it better.

Guns don't kill smileys. Smileys kill smileys.
P.S. - I approve of these changes.

Can we have a user preference for the style of the forum display?
The changes give the forum "the style of a conversation" but it still intrinsically is a message board and not a conversation. I dislike the wasted screen real estate; the right column for avatars is mostly empty in threads where people aren't replying. I'd also prefer less blank space between posts. Decoration has its aesthetic value but once the novelty has worn off, I'd like to focus on reading content. Having to scan to the right column decreases reading efficiency. Futhermore, if the website ever supports nested quotes or quoting multiple users, those changes could complicate the visual metaphor of a conversation.
Before anyone comments that the new style is just a change to become accustomed to, message boards are common on multiple websites. I know what works for me and I have a good idea of what works in general user interface design. Software like vBulletin and phpBB have been around long enough that there's no need to reinvent the wheel. I'd rather see changes like having more versatile text markup and having links in the discussion listings that take me directly to the first unread post in a thread.
