#AskEden - Problem getting assingments for ALL my students!

Contributor: K101 K101
OK so the problem is I have a student that's been patiently awaiting for her assignment to come since JANUARY! That was months ago. She's been patient and cannot move forward until she gets it. From what I've understood, mentors send in a request to the email partners@edenfantasys. I've sent the email several times and I know I've got the right email because I have gotten replies, but the assignment is NEVER sent to my students and now 2 of them think the whole review program isn't even real! I've tried explaining and I don't blame them for finally saying something after waiting this long. I don't know what else to do or who else to email. I mean, I'm a mentor too. I may not be the most likable, but my goodness, I'm a mentor and I've done a very good job so I feel like I'm being "blown off."

Also, my other student has been waiting for their assignment that, although I send the emails and get replies, it never shows up in their mail.

Does this only happen to me? I've tried discussing it via email and get nowhere so I did not know where else to turn. I'm starting to feel like crap about the whole thing though.

What should I do? Why won't my students get their assignments? I've never heard of this happening to other mentors who request assignments for their students. I don't know if it may be a personal thing? I hope not. Despite what someone may think of me, my students shouldn't be done this way and I think as a mentor, my emails should be addressed. My students and I aren't any less than any others here so I'm feeling irritated about it.

I always email JR directly for push assignments

That's very odd. I would email JR directly like Peggi mentioned. I've only ever had to have one of my students be sent an assignment and arrived promptly. Honestly, I prefer when a student already has products to review as it makes it so much easier. Sorry to hear this has happened to you Kendra!

OK. I have found his direct E-mail. I'm not sure what is going on, but I was feeling kind of crappy about it, ya know? I feel like my students think I'm the one giving them the run-around.

See, I didn't think other mentors had had this issue so that is why I was getting SOOO worried about it... like I had DONE something? I do tend to think up crazy reasons for things though. haha

Thank you Peggi and Sktb0007 for your advice and help It is very much appreciated.

That sucks for sure, I wonder why they have not sent the assignment??? Ya, it would be best to send JR an email.

No problem and I'm glad you got the message! Yeah, I actually did have that problem once, but a friend of mine gave me his email and then I didn't have that problem! So that should fix it for you! Weekends and holidays aside you should hear back pretty quickly in an email, and then the student will also get a notification

I would do what the others said about contacting JR. I have only had one request and we didn't have problems with it. The other one that I had, I have no idea if they got it because this was in Feb. and they stopped replying to me and haven't been back on the site.

Thanks for the support, Edenites!

I've been doing the Mentor Push assignment requests since March or so. I always respond with either a confirmation of the assignment or why I couldn't make it. If your student didn't get an email or you didn't hear back from me, check the spam folder or the Assignments section.

If you ever send an email and I don't respond back to it within a day or two (or later than Monday afternoon when it comes to emails after 5pm on Friday), please don't hesitate to follow up with me via email or on-site message.

I also have a student who has been patiently waiting. I'm not as patient as she is! I'm going to touch base with her now and see if she's received anything as of this time...Otherwise, keep an eye out for a message from me, JR!

Thanks for posting this, kendra30752!
