Inactive students

If you have a student who is inactive for a long period of time, and they really aren't participating, can you get rid of them from your class? And how so? Do I just simply say "Student Didn't Pass" or what?

There's a "Cancel class" button. It's right beside where the "Graduate" and "The student didn't pass" buttons are.

If they've done 2 reviews in the class you can pick the didn't pass option, but if they haven't then the other options won't show up and there will only be the cancel button.

You can either Cancel or Student Didn't Pass. But I'd make sure to message them first. I've done that with students, told them that they hadn't been very active and that I needed to hear from them within a certain time frame or I was going to have to cancel the class. I've heard back from some and at least one is a pretty active student now.

I stick with a week notice. If you're thinking about dropping their class, give them a heads up that you'll do it in a week. If you don't hear back from them in that time, I think you'd be ok to drop the class.

I actually had to cancel a class today because a girl hadn't done anything accept request me in two weeks. The only thing I don't like is that I can't accept any new students till the 1st, even though class with her has cancelled.

I have a bunch of people on a 'waiting list'.

This is why I gave up on mentoring. I have had probably 3 students out of about 15 that actually went through my class and were serious. The rest of them requested me and I didn't hear a peep back from them, so I just quit accepting students. Once in a while I will turn it on and see if anyone is actually interested, but it's not worth my time to have them sit there and do nothing. I hate having all those cancelled classes on my roster

I always give a week notice, and then a final notice after that. If they don't respond after two weeks I axe them.

I've had 22 students, 10 have graduated. All the rest cancelled because they just disappear. I give them about a week to get back to me.
