#AskEden - I'm confused about how the mentor program works

Contributor: Zombirella Zombirella
So we are allowed 4 students a month. Is it a month from EACH individual class? I hope this make sense because I don't really know how to put it.
I wasn't able to accept any new students until Wednesday, I did and now I cannot accept another student until NEXT Wednesday. I'm just wondering why this happens?
I thought it was 4 per month from the date you became a mentor (say I became one on the 8th of the month then I could accept 4 until the 8th of the next month came).

Can anyone explain this better to me? I have a feeling I don't make sense at all and sound completely ridiculous.

You are allowed to accept so many per month. The month date changes when you accepted the student. You were available Wednesday because that was one month since the student from the last month. The next available date is the next one month mark for you. I hope this makes sense.

This is so confusing. I've also been trying to figure this out. I have seen mentors who have something like "13 students in class". How does that happen? They just accumulate them slowly over a few months? lol!

Also, what happens if you accept a student and then cancel the class when they are unresponsive? Does the canceled class still affect the number of allowable students?

I currently have 8 students. But yes, you just accumulate them over time.

Yes, it does. Because you accepted the class request.

I'm going to try to explain this a little better.

You accepted your four students on the following dates...

4th, 8th, 12th, 23rd

Now you are unavailable. You will be able to accept your next student 30days from the first date. So depending on the number of days in that month it will be around the 4th. Then when you accept someone that day you will be unavailable again until around the 12th. Because that is your next one month mark. And it continues as so.

It's 4 students in a 30 day period, not per month. The 30 day window shifts with the date you accepted your students.
