How exactly do you become a mentor? I'm not ready yet, but I have a feeling before too long I will be craving that position.

You have to have experience writing reviews. You need quite a bit of them and they have to be of a good quality and good ratings from others within the community. You also have to have a rank of atleast 6.0
It is up to the admins to approve your upgrade request if they feel you are ready to mentor others.

This. I see you are at a rating 5, so once you get to a 6, you should apply : ) Shouldn't take that long!

Great answers Zombirella and sktb0007!
Being a mentor is about more than reviews too. A good mentor should also know how get involved with the community and know who to contact if there's an issue. Also, even though some people get up to the 6 rank rather quickly, it's not always about time on site. If you've only been around a couple months, you're probably not going to be approved to be a mentor your first time around.
