Some are silly, sarcastic, serious, and to the point. What kind do you tend to write?
What kind of reviews do you write?

Only wrote one, and it's still pending review from my mentor but it fits my personality in that it's not so serious.

I try to write it like I'm telling a friend about it. I have an extremely dry sense of humor so my "funny" comes across as "sarcastic and bitchy", but if we were talking face to face you'd be able to hear it.

I think I write reviews in a conversational way. I don't attempt to make them funny, but if humor comes through, then I add it in.

I try to write how I talk, which can sometimes come across seriously, but can also reflect humor. I've noticed that how I write influences how I talk which influences how I write sometimes. The end result is me attempting to come across like a regular human being with reviews that aren't super serious.

I am not really that funny. So I find it hard to include humor. I right reviews that answer the questions needed.

I write like I talk which is serious with a nice undertone of sarcasm. So not exactly funny, per say. I don't know if the sarcasm translates on paper but it's in my head when I think what I'm typing. I try to be informative and serious for the most part because I'm not all that great at funny haha. I'm more dry I guess.

Depends on the type of review, I tend to be a little more straight forward with Descriptive and more layed back with regular reviews. I add humor when it fits and can be down right technical when needed.
Sam has some of the best advice about writing like you talk, I love reviews where it sounds like the writer is talking to me over a cup of coffee.

I try to be silly, since I'm a silly girl. I can be serious if the need arises, though.

It really depends on the item I'm reviewing..that goes for this site as well as my product review/giveaway (pg 13) Blog.

Totally changes. I'm trying to be a bit more goofy, but still get all the stuff across that needs to be gotten across.

I try to write so you can hear my voice in the conversation and get a feel for my personality. I do that with every outlet I write for. It's hard for me not to throw in some sarcastic humor, thats part of my personality.
10/25/2011
It depends on how I feel about the item or my mood. Most of the time I'm to the point unless I have a story that relates to the item or I'm particularly angry with the piece. Then I go off on a rant and cut that down during editing

I don't have a sense of humor so mine are more technical I suppose stating the facts. I wish I was able to add some humor to them.
10/25/2011
Mine tend to be a whatever fits the ocassion. Generally, I will hit upon a key sentence for the opening before I start, and that will influence the entire review. It may or may not be funny, but the idea is to get your attention to what I have to say about the item.

i've only written one review so i'm not sure on my style but i try to keep everything i write fun to read while making sure i get all the facts int here

It varies with each review. I like to have fun with the title and then go from there. A lot of it is getting the information out there and filling in with personal experiences.

I just go with the flow
Sometimes toys just beg for you to add a little humor to their review! And I certainly review a light-hearted review!

It depends on my mood when writing the review and the product itself. I usually add some humor because lets face it, life is funny.
10/25/2011
Mine are pretty straightforward, but I'd like to get a little more creative with it now that I'm more comfortable writing them and have a better idea of what has to be in them.

I've given up on trying to write funny ones. Doesn't matter if I add all the important info - it's still not good enough for certain people!
So bugger it - my reviews are all serious and just state the facts.

Love to use puns and double entendres Of course, ALL of my reviews are very serious and matter-of-fact. LOL

Great poll! I try to be very conversational, but sometimes am a bit quirky!
10/25/2011
I haven't written any, but I would like to learn more about the review process
10/25/2011
I try to be informative but come across as if I were having a conversation. I'm not really sure if I do that, but that is what I aim to do anyway lol
10/26/2011
Humor is always good to throw in, but I mostly focus on being informative and providing information more than anything else!
10/26/2011
I see my main priority/job as providing information to the readers, not impressing them with humor. (My dry humor never works in text anyway- Glad I'm not the only one who's had that problem. Haha.) But I'm a rather silly person, so I'll sneak in a goofy comment or innuendo now & then if it doesn't seem awkward. I won't try to force the funny, though, if it's just not there.
Anyway, I figure we're all adults here discussing sex toys & more, so it's a bit late to worry about being all formal. So I guess I'd say my review style is "professional-casual." (That's like dress-casual only with writing instead of clothes).

I write extremely detailed reviews in most instances.
10/26/2011
Mine vary, but generally tend to sound pretty much the way I converse, but with more specific details about the toy/item.
10/26/2011
I just try to cover what stands out to me and what I think I'd want to know.
