Weird formatting on one review? Why?

Contributor: P'Gell P'Gell
I wrote a review yesterday and I submitted it. It came back and it was formatted with all these %20 and letters I didn't put in there and everything was run together etc. I had to copy it, put it on my Word file and remove all the crap, then I was stuck with all these extra spaces, which I had to remove manually. It took me 3 or 4 hours to do a review which should have taken an hour or two.

Anybody know why this happened? I should have started it on Word, but I usually use the Extended Template, and I like the prompts etc.

Has this happened to anybody else?

I hope it was submitted properly. It looked fine when I finally fixed it.

I think it was WORD that did it. I believe if you write a review and then copy/paste it, you have to use Notepad. There was a previous thread about this, let me find it.

I did re-edit it yesterday (that's what took me nearly 4 hours.) Here's the link link

Thanks, Kindred, but I actually didn't put in on Word until AFTER it fucked up. I realized my dog had unplugged my connection, so maybe attempting to submit it, after re-connecting did it. (He lies under my desk and he's TOO BIG to do this. So sometimes my internet connection gets unplugged and I didn't realize it.)

If you have the link to Notepad use, that would be helpful. The nice thing about doing the review "live" on the site, is I can't say, "Oh, I'll finish this later. Let me think." I procrastinate, and if I start it online I will finish it.

Did you save the changes before you lost your connection and attempted to resubmit?

PassionQT did not use Word either. According to the thread, she was trying to make an edit when it went crazy on her.

It did happen to me, but I had typed directly into the online form when it did. I got all the 20%'s when I went to save the draft. The only odd thing I can think of when this happenned was that my connection was wireless that day, which is odd for me, and EXTREMELY slow. To solve it, I copied and pasted into Word and did find and replace to get rid of them and turn them to spaces.
