Save the Best for Last

Contributor: TheSinDoll TheSinDoll
When I write my reviews, I usually go straight through and save the title for last in hopes that by the end, some kind of catchy little thing will have struck me, sent from the Inspiration Gods.

When you write, do you go straight through or skip around?

I usually skip around. The vroom, bee, and star rating, pros and cons, and summary are all at the end of the form, but I like to do them first.

I usually have a title way before I have the rest of the review. I pretty much just go straight through, though. Hell, I've changed my opinion on a toy in the middle of the review, so it'll read really weird. The first half will be like "it's kinda meh..." and the last half will be like "I rather like this!" and then I have to go and rewrite the entire review to be consistent.

Maybe it's just me.

I've never been able to write anything (blog post review, anything) unless I have a title for it first. Even if I have a great idea for the body of the text, I can't write it until I have a title. Once I have the title, I pretty much go in order.

I skip all over the place and yeah the title develops as I'm writing. Usually I'll give the review a temporary title knowing it'll change before I'm done

Title first, then summary, use and experience. I have gone back and changed the title before, sometimes something better pops up.

I skip around. I agree a catchy title will usually pop up after writing the review. I write the review then title it to sorta match my feelings on a toy.

I have to come up with the title first, for some reason.

I always write straight through and then edit. I edit my reviews a lot so there's always quite a bit of change from my first draft to my final draft and this could include the title.
