I'm curious of the reason why my review hasn't been published yet. I haven't gotten any messages and it's been one to two weeks at least since I submitted it. Is something changing? Are they short on review editors? I'd be happy to volunteer myself to edit reviews to make the process faster. I've tried to get on to editing for a while but I keep getting declined. Anyone know what could be going on?

There is quite a backlog right now, due to the limit on the number of reviews that can be edited per day, and the low number of editors still editing. It will get done....but it will take longer.

I figured. Thank you for the response. Guess I'll just wait.

I will step up an apologize that I am a reviewer and I haven't even gone to look at the task market in over a month. So, I am part of the problem right now, not the solution.

We'll get to it eventually; there are just a lot of reviews to edit, each of which takes a lot of time, and very few editors. Furthermore, as editors are paid merely with points, it doesn't really stimulate them to try to work as much as they can. It's more of a "hobby" than a "job".

Good to know. In the past I always contacted the administrator but the last time I had to do that, was before people in the community were editors. I can't begin to imagine the backlog you must have. Patience is the key.

If we, the other members and editors, didn't give a shit, we would not be spending our time editing for free and with little to no support from admin (now that the only admin we had who would answer our questions and monitor the forums, Stormy, was let go a while ago and no one was put in her place). I cannot speak for the remaining admin, of whom we know there is the owner, Fred, his son Ilya, and someone who answers support tickets for customer service. We don't know who else there is, but everyone the community dealt with was fired last June in a big upheaval and the only person we had to address any of our concerns was Stormy who came back shortly after the firings as the sole employee we could contact. (Many people left and continue to leave over many issues as you can imagine, this delay in reviews being edited is just one of them). Then, because of the slow forum use, Stormy was let go recently and we never heard a peep from the company about anything. However, she let us know that Ilya was the one to contact with our questions and there was no replacement or forum moderator. For whatever reason, Ilya is unable, or unwilling, to reply to many questions, probably because he is just not familiar with how things were run regarding the review program and the forum, in other words the community side of things.

Out of curiosity, I took a look to see your reviews you mentioned in this thread. Just so you are not left with absolutely no idea of where your reviews are in the lineup, I checked the Task market for you. There are 28 reviews before your first one (the Lelo Ida review) in the Task Market and the second review (on the Luna Pleasure Beads) is number 64 in the list of 79 reviews awaiting editing right now (more are added every day though, but we editors are supposed to take them in the order they were submitted, so those positions will not change other than to get close to the top as more reviews are edited). Each editor can edit two reviews per day and if they want, they can do a third one, but receive no credit for it. We also can edit 3 follow-up reviews per day, but those are often just a sentence or two and they are not backed up at all. We get points for the first two reviews we edit per 24 hrs. They are the same points and value everyone gets for actions on the site, so they are only good for a maximum of 15% off your order total (no matter how many you've accumulated). I started editing in June when all the other editors left and I have done 486 reviews so far and 162 of those I didn't even get points for doing, so don't tell me no one gives a shit! I am also sitting on over $2000 in points that I can't possibly use, so tell me why the heck I would want to stress myself doing a thankless job? I do it because I don't think it's fair to the reviewers not to help, but like everyone, I have a life and I can't edit three reviews every day, though I busted ass doing so for months before getting too sick to do it anymore at that pace. Thankfully, I now have a few other editors helping now whereas all summer it was just me.
But as a new member, you have a lot of nerve spouting off in such an unnecessarily crude way about things you don't know about. People want to help here, we are not the admin, so try treating us with a little more respect and kindness and perhaps you will get more helpful responses (even if you don't like the answers). After all, we don't know you, nor do we owe you anything, do we? Yeah, I get that you're angry, but had you used a nicer tone in response to surreptitious's reply here, you might have learned more about just what is going on and you might have found some members receptive to your plight who could help. As it is, I think I just provided a lot more info than you deserve coming at us all insulting and angry. As it is, no one has to touch your reviews if they don't want to and they could leave them in the task market forever. You ever hear about getting more with honey than vinegar? Regardless, I imagine someone will still be professional enough to edit your reviews despite us giving you "fucking lies" as we supposedly "don't give a shit"

As a matter of fact, I started AFTER the points thing. This means that I /started/ editing to help people, not to earn points.

Regardless, I imagine someone will still be professional enough to edit your reviews despite us giving you "fucking lies" as we supposedly "don't give a shit" less

Thanks for that, wrecklesswords. I think I got a wee bit cranky after seeing two different angry posts from them, but I tried to keep it civil. I am humbled by your last statement , thanks. I really appreciate hearing that!

It's understandable, really. I'd be cranky too if I were around more often and seeing these things. I mean, seeing them after the fact makes me angry enough haha.

They don't seem to hardly ever accept new editors. I've tried a few times in the past, but I got denied. Seems like they just need more people. I've always been down.

the community is not responsible for how all the facets of EF are run. and anyone that wants to build the community is welcome to help support it. if someone wants to tear it down, they need to take their opinions elsewhere, including the comments you made. attacking the community is unacceptable.

Wow. So I went on a hiatus since last summer and returned in the hope that things had become more enjoyable again. Alas, it seems that anger continues. WW when I was around you've always been very dedicated, kind, and helpful. It's nice to know that those who really do care are still sticking it out.
