This was recently touched on in a previous thread but I had a question from that. Someone, I think Sam, said that they weren't taking Proofreader applications right now but were keeping apps on file for when they opened it up again. I submitted an aplacation a wile ago and it came back to me as denied. Does this mean that it's no longer on file and I have to submit it again? A d does anyone have any idea as to when it will open up again. /eager and anxious

The Editor Program is undergoing some major changes as discussed in this thread: link
I do not know if they are currently accepting new applications. However, I suspect they are keeping applications on file for those individuals that applied but have not heard a response back one way or the other. I could be wrong, but I suspect EF is not saving names of reviewers that have been denied. I believe you can reapply though.

I suspect those are the applications being kept on file. However, I don't know for sure since I am not involved in the process.

You can ask Sammi about the current status of everything, but the last time I checked we were in the process of changing out editors, we're just waiting for a few things to be finalized first. That I don't have a timeline on unfortunately.

Yeah, Sammi is the one to ask about this.

Yep, I'm the one to ask . Right now we're waiting for some changes to be made, and then we'll be doing a change, or swap, of editors. I don't have a timeline, but I will be letting everyone know as we get closer to implementing everything.
If you don't have an application on file right now, you can go ahead and submit one. No requests will be accepted or declined, though, until all the changes are in place.
Please feel free to message me if you have any questions - that's the best way to make sure I see your question in case I miss a posting on a thread.
