So I was wondering for products that currently aren't available yet on Eden there is no price set. For me at least price plays a role in how I would rate a toy so in these cases I'm not sure what to do since I'm not sure how much it cost. Does anybody else feel the same way?
Product Price Important In Review

I agree somewhat. I can definitely do a review without the price listed but when I feel a product is not worth the cost then that is something that is important for me to note. The reverse is also true; I think quality toys that are a great buy deserve the extra attention.

You can search out the product using Google and find the value of the toy there. In this case, I think that Eden is thinking about carrying the product and wants to know if it's worth ordering.

I review the product based on it's unique characteristics because price is so subjective. One site may sell it for less or more than EF so I want my reader to know if a product is worth buying regardless of cost. If the price is available and it isn't worht it I might note that in the experience section or in the comments since what I might be willing to spend on a product might be more or less than a perspective buyer.

While price is important - it's also and easy thing to consider after one learns about the product. I think reviews are most useful in helping to make buying decisions based upon perceived quality so, when a price is finally available (or can be found elsewhere), one can already determine if the item is worth considering to begin with. Of course, price is a deciding factor too.

I pretty much completely don't think about the price at all when doing a review. I'm not there to say that 80 dollars is too much, or 20 dollars is a steal. Everyone has their own financial situations. I know lots of people who won't spend more than 20 dollars on a toy, and people who won't spend less than 100 for fear of inferior quality. Whatever, I think price has nothing to do with it, it is about the toy. You can find toys on sale, or more expensive than they are here, or better yet use giftcards and technically spend no money at all. So price is extremely rare to be mentioned in my reviews.

Good point Jons. By making pricing a factor I'm making it about my own personal financial situation although I also agree with LuLu Love that if a toy is exceptionally good plus cheap that's a big bonus.

I tend to leave out price concerns on stuff that doesn't have the price set. I just leave it out completely.

But when the price is set already (like on a regular ol' assignment), I'll only make a note of it in the pros (usually at the end) if it is a reasonably good price. It's not a huge factor for many people.

If we know a product's price, sometimes we give our opinion on whether or not it was worth it to *us*, but we rate it based on quality and performance. In the end it's really up to the buyer to decide if it would be worth the money for them.

That is a good point, but sometimes that info is just not available.

I do like mentioning value if it's good, but I try to avoid specific prices. You're review is going to be up for a long time (hopefully), and prices change.

Price and value are always subjective, so I try not to factor them into my review. That is unless it's an obviously great bargain, or a totally not worth the price. But those are seriously rare.
