I always add packaging photos in my reviews. It's something I like to see in others reviews. I like to know what I'd be getting if I ordered a product. Also, I believe I have gotten items that were packaged slightly differently than in the photos shown in reviews I'd seen, which is interesting. Generally, my favorite reviews are the ones with a lot of pictures.
Product packaging photos -- yay or nay?

I don't care about them, but I put them in mine because other people want to know what they are getting.

I typically included them, I don't care but other do and I'm a super through kind of review writer.

I judge toys by their packaging. I think the way a company presents its product has a lot to say about the quality and safety of the item that you're buying.

the packaging does not really matter to me. most packaging gets thrown away.

only if its really nice or really bad

If it's already shown in the photos on the product's info page, it seems a little unnecessary. If it's really cool or unusual, though, it's a nice addition. Anything you actually keep (like when vibrators come with a nice little storage bag) is worth showing, too.

I don't mind seeing them.

I include the pics in my reviews. But i add a collage with the eden brown box, the packing of the brown box, and the product package. that way the person knows exactly what is going to come if they order that product.

It's useful in some cases.

FiFi was the nicest toy I'd ever gotten so I added all kinds of pics on the packaging of that one. Probably because I was proud that it was so fancy.

I like them.

less
I always get pics of packaging now, except if something comes wrapped in pink tissue paper (since I only do lingerie reviews). A picture of a wad of paper doesn't add anything imo.

I like seeing it

YES.
I like being able to see what the packaging looks like... my reasoning for this? I like to know if it is something I would want to keep, if it has images of people, I wouldn't want to keep it, and if it has nudity on it? I'm not likely to buy it.

I'm kind of the opposite. Pictures distract me from the text, which is the core of the review. =/

It's interesting that packaging affects your purchase choices so much. I'm really the opposite. I don't like to keep packaging so if it's nudity, into the trash it goes. No biggie.

If it's particularly awesome packaging or particularly bad in some way then yeah, pictures are good.
03/23/2012
I don't really care either way.
03/23/2012
I don't really care to see pictures of the packaging unless there's something neat about it, but at the same time the only time it bothers me is when there's like, 6 pictures of something really basic. A front and back shot, ok maybe, but there is such a thing as overboard.
03/23/2012
I always add them in my reviews on my blog to show what they are getting from packaging to the very end to me it just adds to the review

I like packaging pictures. It only takes 10 seconds to take it, so what's the harm in including it
07/25/2012
I like seeing them and I always try to put them just so others can see how it's shipped. But I also don't judge against those who don't put them.

Sorrry! I accidentally chose "Nah" but I mean to choose the option about noteworthy stuff. I think if it is serious that people see, for example, the package is different than shown online or maybe has something too explicit on the front, then okay.

Usually only if the packaging is interesting. A plain plastic bag isn't useful in pics to me.

If the box is just pictures of models holding the toys, pass. But if it demonstrates best use of wearing, or has something relevant written on it.. absolutely!
