Earlier today I read a review and left some comments, I went back just now and could not find it, not on the community page or the persons public profile.

Any ideas what is going on? I have never seen this so it has got my curiosity going.

There are a number of reasons this could happen, but it is not terribly common. Without know the facts here I cannot say more. But If a review was taken down, whoever took it down will also have contacted the contributor.
