I invited my boyfriend to give product reviewing a try. He submitted a review he wrote last night. I didn't help him out with it, he did it all on his own. My question is, would it be ethical for me to vote on his reviews? I was thinking I should probably just avoid that, and he should avoid voting on mine, since we might not vote fairly.
Is this ethical?

If you feel that you would not vote honestly, then that is up to you. But I don't think it is unethical at all, not anymore than voting for friends. There are plenty of reviewers on here who are part of a couple (myself included).

I don't see a problem with it really. I have 3 real life friends that are contributors here, and a fourth one trying to decide whether she wants to join, and I vote on their reviews.

As long as you are fair and treat their reviews objectively, then I can't see it as being objectionable.

I definitely agree that if you think you can't be objective about it, then refrain from voting. I've seen some that look a little skewed, but for the most part, there's really nothing wrong with it

I don't think it is unethical. Just vote honestly.

I think that since you are asking it speaks volumes for your ethics level (in a good way). I would say that if you feel you will vote fairly, go for it...if you are concerned with possibly voting unfairly to keep from hurting his feelings, maybe wait a while until his reviews are so amazing you will have to vote extremely useful to be honest.

Like I said, the fact that you asked tells me you're honest...so good for you!

Nope. Not unethical at all.

I agree with other posters: I have had friends on here, even a couple I knew in real life, and I didn't think there was any conflict for myself in voting on their reviews. If you feel pressure to vote positively when you may not think it's the greatest thing ever, you can always just skip it and not vote on that review. It's easier than starting a fight with your guy over a review

Nope, go ahead and do it, just be honest.
