How many basic reviewers or previous basic reviewers decided to go through the mentor program? Did you find that it helped in making your reviews more helpful? For those who decided to opt out of the mentor program and take your chance at an upgrade request, do you regret it? Why or why not?

I chose to try out the mentor program, however just after I started I became an advanced reviewer prior to graduating. So far, it's been nice to have someone that can relate to being new, and having questions about what to/or not to write about. I think the mentor program is a great way to get a feel for Eden

I've decided to do it because I want readers to be able to get all they need from my reviews. I also like the idea of someone with more experience giving me pointers.

I graduated the mentor program. I think it had really improved my reviewing skills.

I, personally, didn't use the Mentor program. I've done a good bit of writing and have been published in the past and am a bit older than some on Edens, and I got good votes on my first few reviews. I chose not to do the Mentor program. However, I waited until after my 8th review to apply for Advanced Reviewer Status, to make sure I was really good at what I was doing.

I may have gone about it backasswards, but it worked for me.

I do think the Mentor Program is fantastic and recommend it highly.

I was already advanced when this program came out, but I am already on my 3rd mentor. I feel like there is always room for improvement, and I love the writing process and getting constructive criticism. I also like to learn the different mentors' styles and approaches. Plus it is a good way to get to know others a little better here.
