How do you re-inspire yourself to write reviews when you are feeling ambivalent or lazy about writing them?

Contributor: js250 js250
I have many items that are still waiting for reviews to be written. I hit a stagnate period where I was just too involved with family issues, relationship concerns and physical health problems and just flat out did not care if I wrote a review or not.

Well, I am back!! And my keyboard is hot, hot, hot!!! I decided to quit making excuses to myself about writing the reviews and to just enjoy the products. Once I released the pressure of reviewing my points purchased items that are not assignments--I am inspired to write about them!!!

Lesson learned: Back off yourself-the stress load you personally place on yourself can and will sabotage your best intentions and efforts.

I read lots of reviews & write back & forth w/ a special EF bud to get myself writing. I seem to always stall getting started on a review. Once I've started writing, then it isn't such an issue anymore.

I just kinda force myself to write something. If I'm feeling uninspired usually doing one will get me back on track to do more.

I make myself write something..then go over it and change it and that usually gets me going to write a decent one

I go through phases where I am really motivated to write reviews, and times like now where I really don't want to. Hopefully sometime soon I'll get in the mood again....I think I'm going to force myself to write one soon and hopefully my mojo will come back.

I'm the same way. I'll do a whole slew of reviews and then won't be motivated to do one for days at a time. Since these are just products I have that I want to review I don't feel the pressure of an assignment and I get lazy sometimes.

But like others have said, once I do one I seem to get on a roll. That's the goal for today, get at least one done and see if any others follow.

I usually just reuse the product to remember what exactly I felt in the first place. It's always harder for me when I don't love or hate a product though.

If I am feeling stressed over writing the review. I don't write it. Take a break. Do something else with my time. Even if I have to come back to it within a week. If I force it out, it doesn't flow.

i feel the same way as Beck, if i dont feel inspired or im just really not in the mood to write one then i just let it sit for a bit till i feel more up to it.
